I bought two of them: One is for my mother, while the other is for myself. My mother desperately needed something to make it easier for her to use her VCR and DVD with the television (as well as assistance with special video games for the grandchildren). We had to constantly move the TV cabinet away from the wall, relocate the cords, and reassemble everything - After that, repeat the procedure. I should have bought something like this a long time ago. It's a bit on the light side - A metal case would have been preferable to me. However, it serves its purpose. I bought a couple of RCA cable sets. There are no cords included with the switcher. Unpacking and plugging in took only about 4 minutes. It's very effective, and my mother's life has greatly improved as a result of it. No more straining muscles to move a large entertainment cabinet to access the cables in the back, or trying to remember which plug goes where. The buttons on the front are very functional. It appeals to me.

This is ideal for connecting older components with analog RCA plugs, such as tape decks and turntables, to newer components with limited RCA inputs, and unlike some "converter" products, it does not require a video signal. In my case, I alternate between using a cassette tape deck and a turntable, both of which are connected to a Denon A/V receiver with only two analog inputs, one of which is occupied by a CD player. It appears to be well-made and attractive. I'm going to go crate digging right now. Thanks!.

In my application, I needed to be able to take a single incoming AV signal (3 wire) and send it to four different devices. When I opened the box, I discovered that this switcher was intended to do the exact opposite (take four different incoming signals and channel them to one device). br>br>For my one incoming signal, I used the single port labeled "out. " After that, I connected the various devices on the receiving end to the various "in" ports. " Bingo - I realize this isn't how the switch is supposed to work, but it worked fine for me. It's comforting to know, however, that it's possible! br>br>Nice, low-cost switch that can be operated manually (by pressing various buttons) rather than being plugged in. There is no residual heat, and it occupies a small amount of space. br>br>April 2019 Quick Update: Switch is still going strong after nearly two years. People who have had problems with the switch's durability might use it more than I do. I rarely need to change the input/output settings. 90% of the time it’s set to the same position of the time it’s set to the same position of the time% On average, once a week, you should change your settings. Because it's a mechanical switch, it'll have metal contact points on the inside, which will wear out over time. As a result, under heavy repeated switching, this type of switch would not be as durable as an electronic switch. For my personal requirements: Grade A+.

Pros: br>Nice switches, if I do say so myself. br>Metal box is a term used to describe a container that is made of metal. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>Bleeds signals from all connected devices to the TV, regardless of which switch or ports are selected. br>I believe that none of the ports are isolated from one another and that they are connected by a common ground. br>Bleeding causes the video to become snowy and distorted, as well as the audio to buzz loudly! br>Not isolating the channels completely is poor engineering. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> br>As soon as I tried it out on a few different devices, I sent it back. I guess I'll have to build one from the ground up because all of the ones I've seen bleed signal, according to the reviews.

I didn't think it would make such a big difference in my listening habits, but after just a few days, I'm enjoying all of my favorites on every format more than ever because it's no big deal to pop in a cassette, queue up a record, and maybe throw on some background noise from Spotify over Bluetooth once I'm done with active listening. br>br>I haven't noticed any degradation in the sound of my system, but I admit that I'm not using the best speakers available, but if you are, Maybe you can afford a switchbox that costs more than $10? My powered sub and two standmount speakers, on the other hand, sound just as good as they did before.

I bought it to use as a stereo amplifier's aux input source. (It's essentially a poor man's pre-paid phone card. ) amp. ) I was a little worried about how well it would work because of the price, but it actually works quite well! I'm plugging in four CD changers and connecting them to the stereo's input. I haven't noticed any sound degradation, and the CD players (Sony ES series) are quite good. This was purchased as a temporary solution. I'll probably keep it around until I can find exactly what I'm looking for. The only drawback is that because the unit is so light, it gets pushed around a lot when you're switching sources with the front-panel buttons. But for the price, I'm willing to overlook it.

Every now and then, I babysit my nephews and we play video games for a while; I have a lot of different game systems, and they always want to try out new ones. br>br>After each of them had their turn, I'd have to go behind the television, unplug one system, and plug in the other. It had been a dreadful experience. br>br>When I finally had enough, I did some research and purchased this, which has proven to be a lifesaver. Simply plug in your DVD/BlueRay/game systems and flip a switch to connect to the correct one! br>br>My nephews appreciate how quickly I can get them started on their games, and I appreciate how simple it is to use. br>br>My only criticism is that I wish there was a way to label the buttons so you could write what they're for, but other than that, it's a great buy.
