There are several little clips that wrap around the faceplate and they're incredibly flexible. This design allows the faceplate to support any force you put on it. The force from cables in front and behind it is also included. In addition, due to the fact that this is a keystone faceplate, the cables stick out far enough to pull on the faceplate as they bend to the side. There's something obnoxious about it. The cost of the product for what it is, however, is relatively high. But it works well, and it's The old adage applies you get what you pay for.
Although I don't know what other products other people have encountered, this is flimsy trash. Those clips do not feel secure at all. I gave it two starts because it did work for me. If I were to buy this again, I would pass.
