Maybe then. However, I have my reservations. I don't recommend this product because it broke down in less than a year and the manufacturer didn't respond to any of my warranty requests. I replaced it with a Kinivio switch, which has proven to be far superior. Also, all of these switches have issues with "always on" devices like game consoles and possibly the Chromecast, which may necessitate manual switching; however, the Kinivio has a nice little remote and the ability to turn off the auto-switching feature. If you're only using one Input source at a time, you don't even need the remote control; I use mine for gaming consoles. As a result, when I turn off one console and turn on the next, the box will auto-restart. change to the input it is receiving. If you want to feed the box multiple HDMI inputs at once, you'll have to use the switch button or the remote control. br>br>Be aware that the unit does not include AAA batteries for the remote control or a USB wall power supply. It will come with the correct cable to connect to the unit, but you will need to either supply a USB Wall Power Supply (which is inexpensive) or check to see if your TV/Soundbar/Receiver has an USB Input that can output enough power. I use the TV method, which entails running the USB cable from the unit to the back of my TV and feeding it into the TV's single USB port. It performs admirably, and the unit turns off when the television is switched off. Keep in mind that you'll need to use the remote control to turn off the unit on your own. The intelligence of this device, which has my satellite, three gaming consoles, and my Netbook connected to it, astounded me. If I'm watching TV and want to play a game on one of my consoles, all I have to do is turn on the console, and this hub recognizes what I'm doing and automatically switches it to the device I selected! The hub then switches back to my satellite as soon as I turn off my console! It's a straightforward feature that I was unaware of. It's almost as if the remote isn't necessary because it does all the work for you! This article has left a lasting impression on me. I'll make a recommendation here as well as to my friends and family.
The first one I got had to be plugged in to work, but regardless of which input was selected, it made a horrible squealing sound from the speakers. The replacement is a complete departure from the original. First, I noticed that when an input was connected, the lights turned on. I can still turn on the power and hear the squeal, but I'm not going to. Without any external power, the device functions perfectly. HDMI, like USB, is likely to have a power supply. I'm not sure why they sent a power cable in that case. My parents have an older flat screen with only one HDMI port, and we used to have a three-switch one but outgrew it. However, if you're a retro gamer, keep in mind that it won't work with Hyperkin or Gamerz Tek HD system clones. For some reason, it will not output the signal; it will display a led light indicating that the system has been turned on, but the picture will not be displayed. Unfortunately, my SNES classic and NES classic both worked flawlessly, and the Analogue also performed admirably, so that is a relief. However, if you don't have enough HD ports on your TV, this is a good option.
