Yes, you should be able to connect a Firestick to an older television. Also, because the picture size and aspect ratio (width to height ratio) are independently adjustable in several steps via the HDMI converter's remote, you can resize the picture on your old TV without "cutting off" any of the screen size! Because most older (CRT or "cathode ray tube") TV's had an aspect ratio of four by three (width to height ratio), but newer "flat screen" or "wide screen" TV's have an aspect ratio of 16 by 9, the picture The converter's only likely flaw is that it does not produce stereo sound. However, stereo sound was only available on a small percentage of CRT televisions. I hope my lengthy response to your query was sufficient. It is the result of over 50 years of high-tech experience. applications related to electronics
If you aren't getting any signal at all, it's possible that you haven't selected PAL for Europe or NTSC for the United States, or that you haven't made the other necessary adjustments. If you have a signal but the picture is black and white, you'll need to adjust the color and contrast options provided by both the remote and your TV. You must also set the device to cable channel 3 or 4, whichever channel your TV receives a signal on first, because the device only transmits to one channel, which you must find. It must also be set to NTSC-TV. Adjust the picture on both the device and your TV to M for the United States and PAL for the rest of the world.

" However, it appears that only a small percentage of people are aware that HDMI cables, in general, have a serious flaw. You can forget about connecting HDMI cables to TVs that are 25 feet or more away from the HDMI signal source, whether that signal source is a DVR, a DVD player, a Blue Ray player, or a cable box, because they are usually very short! However, this device converts HDMI signals to analog TV channel 3 for output. Almost no one realizes that in the United States, all televisions use the NTSC-compliant system. M is a signal transfer method. NTSC- In the pop-up menu, choose M. if you don't use the up menu, your picture will be terrible, flickering, and mostly black and white! But what really sets this product apart is that it allows you to optimize your image for any TV you're trying to display it on, whether it's brand new or an antique from the 1960s! Hsize (horizontal size), Vsize (vertical size), brightness, contrast, saturation (color level), hue (tint), and sharpness can all be adjusted (independently) on the picture! Furthermore, because the output is RF (only analog TV channel 3), you can use a cable splitter (or, even better, an amplified splitter) to connect multiple TVs to the output signal, resulting in virtually perfect images on multiple TVs throughout your home or building! Is 1080P available on all televisions? No, it isn't, but the image is certainly appealing, and the color is also excellent, especially given the remote control's extensive adjustment capabilities! I use a remote control extender because it allows me to control all of the adjustable options from a distance, even from a different floor! Plugging in an HDMI source BEFORE connecting the power supply is one way to cause issues with this device. That would be a recipe for disaster! The bottom line (in my opinion) is that this device is deserving of five stars for overall performance, particularly HDMI quality via TV channel 3!.
I didn't have high expectations for this, and if you do, you'll be fine - Check out the video on my Vizio 70" 4K HDR 10/Dolby Vision monitor - When I am allowed to visit my Grandma, I will eventually set this up on her old CRT TV. br>br>Prosbr>Easy installation - Connect the HDMI to your Apple TV or Roku, and the included cable to your old TV - that's all there is to it. set the television to channel 2 or 3br>br>Consbr>The video is only 480i, which is to be expected - If you have a lot of noise and interference, press the SYS button on the included remote until it disappears. br>Don't expect stereo/5. 1 or a similar number - The sound is mono, and the volume is usable but low.
I recently purchased this product, and it exceeds my expectations. br>It is simple to set up if you follow the instructions. br>Set the channel to cable tv 3 even if you do not have cable tv because it only broadcasts on one channel once a signal is received. (I only have an antenna that was connected to the cable tv threaded portion of the TV) The mode button will size your picture vertically and horizontally, press SYS to choose PAL if you are in a foreign country, or NTSC if you are in the United States. ) If you're in the United States, you'll notice that it's also on NTSC. You can change it from there by pressing the arrow keys. You can use mode to choose sharpness, brightness, and other things. Your TV settings will also help you get a better picture because the device is set to PAL by default. Mbr>I currently use this device on a wide screen small and display my Roku device through the cable tv threaded post and see it in picture in picture mode on the TV I also have in the background my computer screenbr>This device works excellently the bad reviews are unwarranted you need to finish setting it up properly I have had no problems at all I recomend this product it is a substantial savings over buying an expensive RF Modulator if you are not broadcasting.
The cable company that I work for I was given a new cable box that had an HDMI output but no RF coax output. As a result, I was no longer able to use my VCR with the cable box. There will be no more recording of TV shows. As a result, I bought this HDMI converter device to connect my HDMI cable to. Then, as in the old days, I'll connect the converter to my VCR via RF coax. All of my VCR recordings turned black as a result of what happened. My flat screen TV shows were cut off on the sides by the converter device. Because the pixel quality wasn't great, the converter only sort of worked; it wasn't good enough to make up for the flaws. I've found a device that will do the job, but it will cost me significantly more. You get what you pay for, as the saying goes.
