I am very happy with my purchase. This arrived in such a short time, I could not believe it I am a happy customer from a company that offers RF modulators. With new televisions no longer having composite connections, the price of an RF modulator has risen dramatically.
It is being used by me to receive Direct TV satellite modulated audio/video in my detached garage workshop and play it on the TV. (Direct TV receivers do not have modulated RF outputs Video and audio are available only over HDMI and RCA. from the house, and the cable run is about 125'. To set up the satellite, we need to run cable about 125'. Basically, I had to attach my RG-59L RF antenna to my receiver, connect the video and audio jumpers, select the RF output channel, and it was ready to use There are 6 cables that lead from the house to the garage, and the wall wart power supply is plugged in there. With this modulator, you are able to output either digital channel 3 or digital channel 4. It's crystal clear to hear and see everything in my garage A noiseless image shows no signs of ghosting or shadows. It has been about 3 months since I've started this setup, and I haven't encountered any issues, including audio popping as a result of signal loss- Describe your experience. In order to set up a good setup with any remote audio/video/compound wireless signal, good cable must be used, and cables should not be routed near noisy areas. Therefore, try not to route your cables next to fluorescent lights, large power cables, etc. I am using Quad Shield RG-59 cable for my test installation. A total of 6 cable lines, crimp connectors (not twist-on connectors), and most of the run is routed through a buried conduit between the house and garage are to be used.
There's nothing wrong with it.
Modulator for basic needs at a good price! (Cable, Video Game System, DVD etc. ), Nothing particularly $20 worth of value! A slight complaint is that the power cable is no longer embedded into the unit as with the older models, but is instead a very thin AC adapter that you plug into the back of the modulator! It does feel like cheap plastic over all. In my opinion, the "Philips SWS2103W/17 RF Modulator Video Converter" is the best option.
We are not quite sure as to why there is a ringing or buzzing tone after pressing it.
It was tough for me to take a picture due to the poor quality. It was feeding using S video, but after a few days my computer stopped sending the signal or the modulator stopped working—I'm not sure which it was, but the image quality was poor, so I decided not to use it anymore.
In the modern TVs and boxes there are no coaxial outputs, so this allowed me to convert the RCA output into coaxial so I could connect the coaxial cable up to the TV.
