Finally, there's an HDMI switch that can turn off auto switching. The problem arises if you have a chatty HDMI input, such as a Chromecast, which will frequently take over and request that the switch be switched to itself. This HDMI switch can be configured to only switch when the remote or switch button is pressed. "To turn off the automatic switch function, press and hold the "switch" button on this product for 5 seconds!".
Purchased from Amazon and installed using existing cables - And it didn't work; there wasn't a single pixel on the screen. br>Next, I bought a high-speed HDMI cable and connected it to the switch's output connector on the TV. It's now fully functional. People who recommend that you get a good HDMI cable (mine is rated at 18) are giving you sound advice. 2 GB (the highest capacity) was available for less than one Hamilton at a local electronics store with a supermarket-like name. br>I would buy this product again and tell my friends about it. br>Keep in mind that some TVs have a few inputs that are rated 4K@60Hz and others that are rated lower. Check your TV's manual to ensure you're using the highest-rated inputs on the back. br>I emailed their customer service and got a response the same day (in perfect English) - but only after I'd figured out what was wrong.
Follow the steps below to get this to work with your PS4 Pro: br>br>To turn off HDCP, go to (Settings). Remove the checkbox for [Enable HDCP] from the [System] section. It now works flawlessly! br>br> Now I'm going to give it a 5 out of 5 rating. My only wish is that the manufacturer adds instructions for connecting devices with this issue, or that future versions of the device are updated to fix the problem. br>br>If it weren't for the PS4 Pro's intermittent black screen issue, this would have been an excellent HDMI switch. It appears to be related to the HDMI handshake during the playback of 4K content. Surprisingly, it works flawlessly with the Xbox One X when playing 4K content. This appears to be limited to the PS4 Pro, so keep that in mind if you plan on purchasing it for that console. br>br>Aside from that, this unit is of excellent quality, and I appreciate how it automatically switches to a different input when it detects a new signal from an active device; it works great with my other 4K devices, but not with the PS4 Pro. Changing the PS4 Pro's resolution settings to 1080p fixes the problem, but it defeats the purpose of buying the console in the first place: to play 4K content.
This accomplished precisely what I had hoped for - It enabled me to connect all of my devices behind my entertainment center and send only one HDMI cable to the TV, making the cords easier to hide. There are a few things I like and dislike:br>br>Pros: The box is made of a sturdy material. The cables are solidly in place once plugged in (with little or no wiggle), the box does not get hot, so I can put it in a tight space, and the LED indicators are a nice touch to know which channel you're on, but they're mostly useful for troubleshooting - I don't need to look at the LED very often, and it doesn't get in the way of HDMI-in. CEC. Auto switching is one of my favorite features. The device that was most recently turned on is switched to automatically. This is convenient because the fire TV is always on, so it automatically switches to the PlayStation when I turn it on. Because the fire TV is still on when I turn off the Playstation, it automatically switches back to it. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The remote control is flimsy and unattractive - in light of the fact that there is an auto- It's not a big deal to switch. I simply tuck the remote into my pocket. When the fire TV is in sleep mode, auto switching does not always work. It is necessary to turn on another device in order for it to switch to that device, and then turn it off in order for it to return to Fire TV. Every 20th time we turn on the television, something like this happens.
it works! This switch (along with high-speed HDMI 2) is required if you have a 4k TV and 4k-capable devices. There are no cables attached. I didn't do enough research when I bought one previously and discovered that it claimed to support 4K but was only capable of 30hz. As a result, none of my 4k devices were capable of showing 2160p content. 1080p is the maximum resolution. The fact that some older switches are only capable of 30 Hz will be overlooked. Check to see if the description says 60hz, or just buy it. The price was reasonable, and it appears to be well-made (metal). The remote, in my opinion, is excellent; it is simple to use and allows you to turn the switch on and off. Remember that the cabling between your TV and the switch, as well as between your TV and your devices, must all be HDMI 2. Cables with a maximum speed of 0 megabits per second (Mbps). Also, ensure that the TV you choose has an HDMI 2 port. 0 supported, whereas some older 4k TVs only had 1. Two of the ports were high-speed, while the other one was not. Instead, use x.
