There is only one HDMI input on my 21-inch TV, and I have two players. I simply plug each player into one of the device's inputs, and the output side of the device into my TV's single HDMI input. I simply press the small button on the back side to select either input; this device does not require any power. The HDMI signals themselves, it appears, provide the power for the switch. It has excellent image quality, in my opinion. I'd say it works just as well as a direct input. Definitely a fantastic little device with a fantastic price!! jon.
This device allows me to quickly switch between a Raspberry Pi 4 device that I enjoy tinkering with and my laptop, which is not always plugged in. I've got a Logitech multi-media keyboard. I have a device keyboard and mouse that allows me to easily switch between devices with the push of a few buttons. I was concerned that the Raspberry Pi wouldn't be able to provide enough power to the switch box, but this was not the case. Because the box is on my desk, pressing the source select button is very simple. Because there is no remote, it would be difficult to hide it behind a TV or something similar. It's perfect for my application. I'm only using two of the three inputs right now, but I like having the option to expand if I want to. Since the multi-million dollar deal, The device keyboard and mouse can also connect to three devices, making for a nice little set.
It has a high-end feel to it. I've only had it for a short time, but it's been fantastic so far. It's a lot easier than looking for dangling cables and then trying to plug them into the HDMI port on the TV. With a simple button press, you can switch the HDMI input. It's extremely practical.
The performance of this 4K switch has exceeded my expectations. It's well-made, and the HDMI cables slide easily into the jacks. For me, the fact that it does not require the use of an outlet is a huge plus. The devices that are plugged into it provide power to it. I've got three 4K streaming devices hooked up to it (don't ask, I just do), and they all work as expected when the correct input is selected (manually). Yes, I'd like to have an auto-pilot system. I expected this switch to have features like switching or a remote control, but I knew that wasn't the case. Hopefully, it will continue to perform well for months, and the price is very reasonable.
The item is portable and simple to operate. For electronic setups with too many cables and only one television input, this is a great item. I appreciate not having to get up every few minutes to swap cables. And I didn't have to worry about the cables that were laying behind my entertainment center because they weren't in use.
This is 60hz, so no need for material changes, no need for price changes (price is low enough), and the packaging was excellent, so there was no need for change there. It's possible that the design is the only flaw. The select button should be placed on the device's top or on the switcher's input side. It's just my opinion, and I could be completely incorrect.
My old HDMI switch had trouble switching between 1080p and 4K signals. It came with a remote, but I had to press a button several times for my LG to detect the signal, which was a little inconvenient. After hearing about this switcher from a friend, I decided to give it a shot. It works flawlessly and does not necessitate the use of a power source or a remote control. Switching HDMI inputs is easy with a button on the unit, which I recommend!.
This HDMI device is built to last and works right out of the box. I've had it for a few days now, and it's been great so far. br>br>As a design improvement, the select button should be on the front of the device; however, this is not a deal breaker and should not deter you from purchasing this product. br>br>Overall, this is a good device; however, if that changes over time, I will update this rating and review.
