It is just 20 years old and I just replaced it This is an old Samsung TX-100 A still older, thoroughly analog Optimus STAV used to route audio from the old TV to the old stereo for the old TV This receiver amplifier is the 3100. The sound from my old Samsung TV was for the most part pretty robust, so I didn't use it very frequently. The overall sound quality from the new Roku Smart TV is pretty good but it's not near as robust as my Enhancing the sound quality of the song was something I wanted to do. It would be helpful if there was a way of converting the Roku's optical signal into an analog signal that could be piped through the Optimus AMP, which does not support optical/digital sound input. My Neoteck DAC Coverter arrived today and I had it set up and working within a few minutes. I'm delighted to hear how fantastic everything sounds.

The audio quality and volume are both excellent with both 3. 5mm and RCA connections. Despite having a 4K TV with Digital Optical and Audio Out, it did not have any audio output. In addition to sending TV audio to my old Yamaha Stereo Amplifier system, I also wanted to send TV audio to my wireless headphones. The volume control on this unit is what I ordered after some research. The RCA plugs on the amplifier and the three RCAs did not work together so I was unsure how to set it up. The input on my wireless headphone transmitter is a 5mm jack. When I used the RCA output with my amp and the 3 channel output with this product, I was very pleased. In the end, I added a second output drive of 5mm to my headphones at the same time without any degradation in sound. Some said the output would be weaker if both were used, but I didn't hear any degradation when I used both drives. By setting the stereo volume at the same level as I would for the CD or tuner, I could set the stereo volume to the same level as for the CD player So that it only runs when my TV is turned on, I plugged it into the USB port to my TV.

That worked, but was very low on volume and had an annoying 60Hz buzz. This converter was purchased to address both of these issues. I was so excited when I found out it worked so well! It is no longer buzzy, and there is no longer a limit to how loud the volume can be set. On my TV, I use the USB port to power the converter. It's nice! Though, I was disappointed to find that my Vizio TV remote isn't able to control the volume of its optical audio output port. Thank goodness the converter has a volume knob to adjust it.

The smart TV I recently purchased was so small that when I needed to use headphones, I was forced to stand on my head to plug the headphones into the headphone jack, which was tucked beneath the RF Using the Neoteck 192KHz DAC Converter, just hit the mute button on the remote to listen to the headphones that are connected, and the TV (Roku) controls will muffle the audio. An RCA connector and a 3-pin connector are included in the converter. There is an optical cable and a USB cable packed with the converter, but the cables are too short and feel flimsy. Installation was straightforward.

The only drawback is that the optical cable and USB cable are too short. My wireless headphones and converter could both be placed wherever I would like them due to my six-foot optical cable purchased from Amazon along with the device. I also used a longer USB cable I already had at my disposal.
