Questions & Answers

Can you tell me whether the headphone jack is RCA or mini? No indication of which type it is appears in the specs. ?

The mini jack is used for connecting devices. There is a headphone jack for it. According to its specifications, the device works well.

With this converter, can wireless earphones hear the sound from a new television at the same time it is played on the same TV?

No, I did not know this device was simply designed to convert digital signals from Toslinks and Coaxials into analog signals carried via RCA cables or a 1/8 inch

The solution to connect computer speakers with a Samsung television has finally been found! It's a lifesaver! Observe the following From 2006, I owned a Bose Companion 3 that still sounds great and works great as well
4/5

For watching movies/tv I've simply connected my laptop to my Samsung smart TV that's connected to the Bose system so that the audio will be coming from the Bose system. I have finally upgraded to a Fire TV Stick thanks to the great browsing features, but I want to keep my Bose speaker for Here's the problem The Bose Companion 3 is designed primarily for use as computer speakers using the 3. 0 USB port. It does not have a headphone jack and neither does the Samsung smart TV (thanks There is a third audio output. There is an audio jack in the computer but it isn't analogue, so I can't control the volume if I plug in the Bose. I found digital to analogue audio converters, but now the issue is that the only way you can control the volume with that Bose Companion series is to plug in the control pod. Therefore, I still should get a remote control for my lazy self to be able to control the volume from my couch (this is America! I was reading about some IR remote configurations, but it all made me quite frustrated. Here's a solution I am using this device. You won't believe how easy it is! You will need to plug a portion of the cable into the device, and the other end into the television's digital audio out port. You will also need to plug my Bose's It is also extremely small, so I like not having to take up a lot of space with it. One con is that the green and red LED lights in the front are obnoxiously bright when the device is on. Here is a photo of them covered in electrical tape. The photo does not do them justice. I found out that the remote control cannot be replaced in its own right. Since the remote is so small and feather-light, make sure you don't lose it, because it seems like it could easily be lost. So, in terms of the overall reaction, I'm so happy. I would have spent hundreds on a new sound bar and/or tv speakers if I had to buy this $20 converter/remote.

There is only one digital-to-analog converter with IR volume control that I have found
5/5

There are various types of headaches caused by this. As the optical out of my display has been fixed volume, I've struggled to get the volume right. I'm also using a crown amplifier with no IR As an alternative to adding more audio gear to my dsp volume, I found this outstanding device. It transmits the optical signal from my display to my amplifier, which then goes into my audio switch. I have volume control on all my other devices, and now I have it on my display as well. The gain structure on my amp is set a bit loud for max volume, which gives me enough headroom to stop messing with the attenuation knobs. This would have been great if I had received it earlier.

It has a unique feature, which makes it an excellent DAC
5/5

I've been testing this unit with my new subwoofer and my LG oled TV which came with built-in sound bar, and all I'm hearing is noise in the bass. The reliability of this DAC was a plus once I paired it with a subwoofer and I am entirely satisfied with the There is a unique feature of this converter, which I have never seen in any other converter. It has built-in volume control, which I have never seen in any other converter. It is a high quality build, and its design is pleasing. br> A user reported issues with the IR remote but i was able to send commands without any problems, but the only negative is that the indicator lights are small and hard to see from a distance, but are still visible. Despite a variety of signals fed into it, including DTS and Dolby Digital, it didn't cause me any problems. On that note, I recommend this product very highly.

PLUG & PLAY IS AN IDEA TO DISCUSS
5/5

The 39" led TV was moved to the guest room as it was too small to be mounted in the bedroom. Purchased a 49" 4k tv to replace it. There was a low level audio output on the led television that allowed it to be connected to my wireless headphones. Using the low level audio output, I was able to plug in wireless headphones without disrupting the speakers on my television. In order to use the headphone jack on the television, the speakers were cut off. It would be fine if you plugged and unplugged the headphones from behind the wall mounted television. Anyhow, I was surprised to see that the 49" 4k television has only an optical audio input and a headphone jack for audio output. It occurred to me that I might have to purchase a sound bar to fix this issue, but I didn't need one in my There is a digital audio optical converter to low level or headphone available as well. I am amazed. Plug and play, that's what it is. There is no effect on digital audio out from the tv as the volume control doesn't change the level the headphones work properly, and the boss (wife) doesn't come into the bedroom to complain about the volume. I like it.

In my opinion, flat screen TV's with internal speakers are mediocre to merely terrible
4/5

Pros I would say adding this to my sound setup has helped my sound output to real speakers significantly.
The interface is very easy to use. The fact that they also have a small jack output for sound is also a nice feature. Turning off 5 has previously been reviewed, and there are previous reviews. I think it is very important to have 1 sound output. There is no way for you to know if your button press was LEDs are far too small on the front of the computer. Especially with the sketchy remote control, it is hard to determine what the unit is doing. It would be nice if the volume control were a little more precise. Sort of like asking your 3 year old to control the volume of his iPod. To set, you have to be patient. It won't take long for you to get used to operating the device once you become comfortable with it.
