I thought these would be ideal for my coax project, but as soon as I tightened them up, the nut on each elbow snapped off the threads. It's possible that this batch was faulty, but it's also possible that it wasn't. In any case, it didn't work for me, and it appears to be cheap Chinese garbage. br>br>I'm editing this on 3/17/21 to say that this seller is now harassing me about removing my negative review. They've sent emails offering $20, $30, and now $40 to get rid of this review. This review is not going away. Amazon might do so in the future, but I'm not going to do it.
I bought these in the hopes of not having to bend our cable wire while running it up the wall, but it didn't work out. We couldn't use the internet because the connection between the wall jack and the cord was being made. Everything worked fine after I removed it and connected the wire directly to the jack. I was very disappointed.
Look at the image below. One of the three was installed behind a sofa and appears to be working fine so far, with no signal degradation. The only way to find out is to wait. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> My download speed has slowed to a crawl after two weeks. When I disconnected this connector, the speed immediately returned to normal. Unfortunately, my incoming signal is hidden behind a sofa, which must now be 3 inches from the wall in order for the straight in connector not to bend.
So I put one on the modem and the other on the wall's coax outlet. On the modem, it performs admirably. The end that goes into the wall, on the other hand, does not go into the wall. I believe it's because the pin is too short.
This was the cause of our internet going out for 30 to 40 seconds every couple of hours. I had no signal if I turned the piece to the right, but I had an uninterrupted signal when I rotated it vertically. I eventually had to hold it in place and then push a piece of furniture against it to keep it from turning.
I needed my cable modem's cable connection to come in at a 90-degree angle so that I wouldn't have cables all over my desk or a big kink in the coax. These adapters were excellent. br>br>.
I'd like to keep two of them because they're working well. When only one is required, however, I am required to return them all in order to receive an exchange.
These were purchased because I have coax wall jacks and didn't want the wires sticking out of the wall. These appear to be long-lasting, and there is no discernible difference in image quality. These are what I would recommend.
