I figured I'd give it a shot because my existing HD antenna was a little "iffy. " " Well, this one doesn't seem to be getting any better. I went back to my old antenna because it was neither better nor worse than what I already had, and the booster had no effect. One piece of advice I would give is to purchase an antenna with a cord that is as long as possible (at least as long as the cord on this antenna). More positioning options are provided by a longer cord, which appears to be the most important factor in reception.
This was something I tried in a few different places. I'm about 15 miles from the transmitters where I live. There's only one local station and a couple of odd ones. If you live near the towers, I'm sure you could get a good view. It was a complete failure for me. Unfortunately, I kept it for far too long and was unable to return it.
Over 40 channels can be easily scanned, and all local stations have excellent reception.
I didn't pull any stations because I had a better jon on an older model. upset.
We decided to "cut the cord" and stop paying Comcast/Xfinity, which no longer seems to care about customer service, and this antenna has proven to be very effective. We were able to conceal it behind our television while it continued to receive 39 channels. It comes highly recommended!.
It's completely ineffective. After one week, the amplified antenna became unusable. Even when the amplifier's light was turned on, I couldn't tell a difference.
