I bought this antenna and it helped me a lot. The visibility that I got on the television screen after it was installed was much better, and the color and signal of the television channels was much better. I would recommend it.
Thank you very much for your question, Kat. Any TV with a coax cable input will work with it.
Selected User Reviews For Philips Modern Loop Rabbit Ears Indoor TV Antenna, 15 inch Extendable Dipoles, 4K 1080P VHF UHF, Tabletop Antenna, Digital HDTV Antenna, Smart TV Compatible, 4ft Coaxial Cable, Black, SDV7114A/27
I began my investigation after purchasing a slew of higher-priced Indoor Antennas and still being unable to pick up a significant number of local channels. The issue or distinction with the other antennas was that they were not UHF-compatible. Antennas for VHF (Very High Frequency) I was able to connect my low-cost UHF radio after that. Phillip's Indoor Rabbit Ear Antenna, VHF, Scanned and Positioned Properly I was able to receive more channels than I had hoped for or anticipated. Please don't be fooled by the price. This is by far the best purchase I've ever made. It is my hope that it will work for anyone who reads my review. Thank you, Amazon and Phillips, for providing such a fantastic indoor antenna. I was hesitant to buy one so cheaply, but it arrived today. br> With it sitting behind the television next to the wall, bam scanned 52 channels. There are no windows in the immediate vicinity. br> br>This product has exceeded my expectations!.
I really like this antenna; it's a lot better than the flat ones that don't work at all. With this one, all you have to do is move your ears around to find a better channel quality. It functions admirably. BUT, the ears don't swivel as much as they should, only moving side to side; they should have a full range of motion. I'm not sure why they designed it this way; I can't think of one. That's about the only drawback; the price is excellent, and the picture quality is excellent; I am very pleased with this antenna.
Three years ago, I cancelled my cable service and purchased an indoor antenna to use with my old Sony Bravia. I used to get Fox when it was a GE, but not any longer. My friend was moving, and she gave me her old Insignia as a gift. I also couldn't watch HD channels because I don't have cable. So I discovered this antenna on Amazon, which comes highly recommended and is reasonably priced. I'm thinking about getting another one to replace my Sony Bravia's indoor TV antenna. I used my Kindle Fire Tablet to take photos.
I'm not getting clear channels because of a location issue, but I'm curious if a TV's tuner plays a role in how well channels come in. The small TV that uses this antenna, for example, is a Sylvania that I paid around $100 for. My large TV, which has the best reception, is a Sony Bravia, which costs about ten times as much. The television's quality must be considered in some way. In general, I'm happy with my purchase. When not in use, the item is small enough to be hidden behind the television.
What a wonderful discovery! It's not the sexiest antenna (unless you're going for a retro look), but it'll get the job done. lol! ), but I'll tell you something: THIS IS ACTUALLY USEFUL! I had placed an order for a Lead Star portable television about a month ago. There were two antennas included with it. One was a complete'miss,' while the other was a 'hit and miss,' in my opinion. When you scanned your television, it felt as if you were playing the slots. The television was returned because it had a number of other issues. I placed an order for a Tyler 14" portable television. I'm one of those who reads the reviews. which were not recommending the antenna that came with the television, so I ordered this one based on the positive reviews and hooked it up right away. Wow! Is it true that I said "Wow"? Almost every possible station was picked up by this small, inexpensive antenna. and they were kept! When I turned on the television again, they were still there. You can't expect or demand anything more from an antenna. I might have to turn it slightly to get a clearer reception once in a while, but it's such a good deal. However, this does not happen very frequently. What a fantastic find!.
The number of channels was never consistent, and the towers were only about 30 miles away from my home.
My $20 Radio Shack 2001 has a built-in RG59 insulated (wide) coax cable on the left antenna. Interference is blocked by thick cables, allowing cheap antennas to receive more channels. I wish it wasn't built in so I could use the current industry standard, RG6 quad shield coax, and avoid the need for signal amplifiers. I'm fortunate enough to live in the middle of the city. Yesterday, I had a total of 83 channels. Only 79 channels were returned after rescanning to assist consumers. br>br>The metal content of the right antenna is half that of the left. Also has a built-in cable with less insulation; I believe it is cheaper to install thin wires than a coax port, and all of these $15 and under models suffer from the same issue. Why install a thin wire that requires a signal amplifier when a port to manually connect RG6 can be included? The rabbit ears do not fold down because their base prevents them from doing so. It will also not pivot in such a way that both UHF and VHF are optimized. It appears to be so ineffective that I purchased it in the hopes that the quality of entry-level antennas has improved over the last two decades. Thank you for keeping it to 35 channels (including the redundant aux channels 3 and 4). br>br>If you're on a shoestring budget of less than $10 and want to cancel cable, save a few months, and then upgrade, it'll be a difficult two months. Your towers assign you to channel groups that you dislike, and some of my 83 channels repeat. The content that is broadcast by a tower that is closer to you. But, while I was waiting for this product to arrive, I lost two good comedy binge channels; I already knew not to rescan, but uninformed shoppers require these videos for perspective; once again, 35 channels, smack dab in the middle of a metropolis. Rabbitears. br>br> Based on the address, info will tell you where to aim. br>br>Channelmaster is a term used to describe a person who is in charge of a television channel. Based on your zipcode, com will tell you which towers have available channels. br>br>Also, stay away from those trendy flat antennas. The flat squares don't work, and even channelmaster sells them on their website. Every single one of them is ineffective.
