Questions & Answers
Yes. This antenna, on the other hand, comes with a mounting pole.
This antenna has an advanced built-in amplifier that is located inside the control box, dear customer. There's no need to buy a second amplifier. Once again, thank you for contacting us.
Hello Dan,br>br>Thank you for your inquiry. The control remote must point to the control box, which necessitates the use of infrared technology. The signal is then transmitted via coax and can be controlled indoors in this manner.
At the same time, multiple TVs can be tuned in to different channels.

updated: I received a new antenna remote from the seller, which works perfectly. br>I live in mid-Maine, and the towers I pick up are between 40 and 100 miles away. The most significant impediment to tower construction is mountains. br>If you're not sure if you'll get any channels, this may be of assistance. br>Check the tv tower map for your area to see what's within 150 miles of your home. Online maps are simple to find. br>Make a list of the towns or cities where they are located. br>Then, using Google Earth, locate your residence, use the ruler tool on the left to "drop a point," then scroll over to the town or city where the television tower is located, and drop a point. This will tell you how far away the tower is. Next, tilt the map and look at the three-dimensional view. You can now scroll along the "line of sight" to see if there are any obstacles in your way, such as mountains. br>You can also figure out what angle the antenna should be pointed at. This was something I was able to convince NBC, CBS, and FOX to do.
I haven't mounted the antenna yet, but I'm giving it a go right now. You'll be in business if you make sure it's pointed in the right direction. It brings up channels that I've never seen before. Regular antennas do not work in my location, but this antenna is fantastic.
To test it out, I connected it to my television and was able to receive all of the channels I desired. It had a satisfactory performance. Then, like hands on a clock, I adjusted the angle until I hit the sweet spot. I was ecstatic to discover that after scanning, I now have 120 digital stations on three flat screen televisions, with much clearer and sharper images.
Despite the fact that it's mounted on my roof on a 35-foot antenna mast, I can only reliably receive 17 channels. I can get to a tower from a distance of about 60 miles, but it doesn't pick up towers that are only 30 miles away. I'm down by the river, so that affects it, but on a 35-mile radius, it works fine. With a ft mast nearly 40 ft in the air, I should be able to get a lot more channels. This thing is extremely flimsy, and if it falls to the floor from waste tight, it will be bent and useless. Next time, I'll just go to Menards or Lowe's and buy the RCA for $100, which has a more realistic 80 to 100 mile range. This thing is advertised as having a 200 mile range, which is complete nonsense. The best I get is 40 feet in the air and 60 miles and 17 channels in a relatively populated area. br>br>visit the seller's website to learn more about the home antenna. TV Fool allows you to check your reception by ZIP code and address. Before you buy this, you should check out their website. br>br>After installing it 15 feet in the air, I went to their website, which stated that I would only be able to receive 5 channels and that the maximum distance was 60 miles. br>However, depending on the strength of their tower, not all channels within 60 miles were included. br>br>After spending so much money and time assembling and installing this antenna, I only get four more channels than I did with a $20 indoor antenna from Family Dollar. br>br>The motor turns the antenna, but the connection between the motor and the antenna is flimsy and floppy, and it wobbles all over the place. It's made of aluminum and plastic that's been sliced very thinly. Outdoors, I don't think it'll hold up very well. The cable is connected to the antenna by a rubber boot that is supposed to be waterproof, but the clamp they provide for sealing it doesn't seal it at all, so I doubt it's waterproof. The 40- The foot cable that comes with the unit is extremely inexpensive. It's not like the cable you'd get from the cable company or anything like that; in fact, it doesn't appear to be designed for outdoor use. br>br>Once again, all you need to do is go to TV fool to see if this thing will work for you. Enter your address or zip code, as well as the height of the antenna off the ground, and it will tell you how many channels you can get. br>br>it informs you of the distance between the channels as well as their location. br>br>For fun, I put in that the antenna was 100 feet off the ground, and even then, according to the seller's own website, I only got 8 channels. br>br>This is advertised as having a range of up to 200 miles. Unless you're on top of a mountain in Colorado, I doubt you'll get anything close to that many miles of reception. The maximum distance for channel reception was 68 miles even when I set the above ground level to 100 feet. Because of weak tower signals or small hills in the way, most of the channels with a range of 68 miles or less were not included in the channels that I would receive. br>br>I live in a flatland in Michigan, where there aren't many large hills to obstruct reception. br>br>If you watch TV, you're a fool. Home antenna can be found on the seller's own website. com, you can see how far you'll be able to pick up channels based on your precise location. This will eliminate any uncertainty and allow you to decide whether or not to purchase this unit. br>br>all in all, I'm happy with the unit right now because it works and I get 13 channels instead of the nine I used to get with the indoor antenna. br>br>I believe it's a little misleading to say you can receive channels up to 200 miles away when their own website states that you're very unlikely to get anything more than 50 miles or so. br>br>Another thing to consider is that when I first received the box, the seller had a sticker on the outside asking me to go to Amazon and leave a review in exchange for a free gift. A sheet of paper inside the box suggested the same thing, offering free gifts in exchange for reviews. I visited their home antenna website. com to see what the free gifts were, but there is no link to look at any free gifts anywhere on their website, no mention of free gifts, and no free gifts as far as I can tell. br>br> I believe Amazon should make it illegal for sellers to offer free gifts in exchange for positive reviews. This, in my opinion, degrades the quality of the reviews we would otherwise receive, and it makes me wary of making purchases on Amazon because I rely on these reviews for a lot of my purchases. If these reviews are paid for, I doubt they will be honest. br>br>Please stop giving away free products in exchange for reviews and start selling high-quality products that live up to your claims. br>br>I was going to give three stars, but I reduced it to one due to the high price, long assembly time, flimsiness, poor buying reviews, and, most importantly, the lack of reception. I believe most people would give it a lower rating if they were being completely honest. br>br>And, no, I did not receive a free gift in exchange for this review.
There are no instructions or troubleshooting procedures for the rotator, and it does not work.
And the signal is strong from my location, which is small and has three TVs that are connected via a splitter. I have a dish mounted on top of my roof that receives 50 channels!.
It's simple to set up and does exactly what it says. Most stations are 60 to 80 miles away from me, and I receive all major network broadcasts.
I haven't had to move the antenna once while receiving 70 channels in crystal clear. This product has met our expectations so far.
