br>br>I decided to give it a try because it was only $40 and I was desperate for a solution (I have health issues that keep me immobile for most of the day, and I work on my iPad). br>br>Like the five-star reviews on here, I wanted to adore it. However, the skeptics were correct in their assessment; This is a fantastic idea, and it's even better if it fits your ideal position and use scenario. However, you're more likely to be frustrated than helped by this. It is made with a high-quality material. br>br>PROSbr>br>IT IS MADE WITH A HIGH-QUALITY MATERIAL. br>br>IT IS MADE WITH A HIGH-QUALITY MATERIAL. br The cover is removable and washable, and it is of good quality and appearance. I had hoped for a darker color, such as black or dark blue, but the gray is very neutral and nice, with the zipper hidden well. br>br>It appears to be very stable regardless of how you use it. It doesn't sway, rock, or slide around excessively. Although some commenters were correct in their assessment that it would be better if it was heavier. In contrast to other designs, it has a good width and, while I would prefer it to be a little narrower, it works well for both portrait and landscape. br>br>CONSbr>br>The price, which is absurdly low at $50. If it solves all of my problems for $40, it's well worth it. It's far from perfect as it is, and I'd probably gift or return it even if it were only $20 or $10. It also lacks fine adjustment. br>br>Most importantly, it lacks fine adjustment. If you can sit still in the ideal position *for the Flipy*, rather than for *you*, and choose one of three sides that works for that position, that's fantastic; However, as soon as you recline, lean forward, or otherwise adjust your position to make yourself more comfortable, the viewing angle and distance change, and you're no longer in the best reading, typing, or watching position. It's a pain. br>br>I quickly found myself shimmying the Flipy back to a usable angle with another pillow, folded towel, shirt, or whatever I could find close at hand; However, each time I changed my body position, I'm sure I flipped between all three sides several times. All of the wrangling took away my ability to focus on what I was reading and writing about. When the screen top and bottom were equidistant from my eyes, even a slight change in position would frequently change the angle enough to pick up light reflections that would otherwise be absent. br>br>I'm also convinced that, unless your vision is perfect, having your reading distance at or below your waist in order to reduce the pitch angle will not be enjoyable if you have any kind of belly. br>br>If you wear bifocals, you'll have a hard time determining the proper viewing angle, as well as the proper distance and position. Have fun nodding your head up and down in portrait view if you're wearing progressive lenses. Simply put, the base height is excessive. br>br>The shelf's base is about 2 1/2 inches away from the surface on which it rests. This is far too high in my opinion. The bezel (border) on my iPad is already quite large. Unless I'm nearly supine, I don't want the screen's top to be above my head or much above my chin. br>br>For me, the bottom shelf should be as close to my body as possible. The 1 inch iPad bezel raises the viewable screen to a comfortable height by itself. br>br>I also think the total height of each face is excessive, but if the shelf base was shorter, the overall height would be lower, and I wouldn't mind as much. br>br>This may seem nitpicky, but I have to believe that many people use their iPad while watching television; Unless your TV is very high on the wall, seeing over the top of your iPad in portrait to see the TV is difficult due to the shelf's additional 2 1/2 inch height. br>br>As previously stated, it wouldn't hurt if this was a little heavier. If you find a good one, it will be less likely to be lost. Another quibble: br>br> The brightly colored embroidered logo on the side bothers me a lot; I understand the need for branding, but it detracts from the overall look. Maybe if it was monochrome rather than multicolored. br>br>I'm not a big fan of returning things, especially if they're made of cloth. However, unless I can find someone for whom this will be a good fit, the high price tag will be too much to bear. br>br>CONCLUSIONbr>br>I'm going back to the unintended use of a collapsible, adjustable desktop stand ($8 on Lightning Deal) designed for an iPhone/cell phone that, when folded nearly all the way back on itself, makes a nearly perfect holder at a perfect height (zero) and weight. br>br>(For a comparison to Flipy, see the photos attached to this review. )br>br>Most importantly, it quickly adjusts for minor or major pitch when you reposition your body. br>br>All I have to do now is attach a stabilizer to keep it from rocking or tipping from left to right and sliding in between my legs. Otherwise, it's extremely useful, takes up no storage space, and is completely portable. Because I didn't have it propped securely and at the right angle, my hard iPad screen fell forward and smacked me in the face every time I was lying in bed. and all the times I had to rig up some kind of structure to get the right viewing height and angle for a long FaceTime call, only to have to do it all over again the next day. I just shake my head at all of the trouble and frustration I've caused myself. for more than a DECADE! My iPad's current leather case can even be used to prop it up at different angles. It still managed to slide or hop off of my lap, so it just isn't good enough. When you're snuggled up in bed, it's not so much fun! I happened upon this miracle by chance when I wasn't even looking for one, and I took the risk of purchasing something I'd never seen before. not at a friend's house, in a store, or on a billboard I'm so glad I went for it. Within 30 seconds of opening the Amazon box, I knew it would be one of the best $40 I'd ever spent. 00 I'd ever spent, and I had a feeling this product would get a lot of use. Whether I'm on the couch, in bed, or at my desk, I never use my iPad without it now! I also needed to read an article in a magazine the other day, and it held it perfectly in place. Because the Flipy's curvature, where the magazine's bottom edge sat, is just so - both pages are completely flat. that the curve and fabric, in some way, held the page's edges down beautifully In one of my eyes, my vision is blurry. As a result, things around the house don't always end up where they're supposed to. I've sat on the couch at least 5 times and inadvertently sat on this "pillow," as they call it, and thanked the product designer each time that it didn't have any hard internal parts! (And, I should add, it shows no signs of losing its shape after repeated use. ) Nothing has happened with my morning coffee yet, but I am thrilled that the cover comes right off (using the barely visible zipper) and goes right through a load of wash when the time comes. br>I am writing this review right now because I am ordering one for my mother, who uses her Kindle on a daily basis. It's her birthday, and I'm sure she'll be thrilled. I'm also glad I found this because she's such a difficult person to shop for! ("The girl who has it all") is a phrase used to describe a woman who has everything. Well, she doesn't have THIS, so getting her something new will be fantastic. I KNOW she'll like it, and I KNOW she'll use it. br>Whoever designed it should be able to live comfortably off of the profits!.

This bag was the perfect size for my nine-year-old son. I can put my iPad with a 7-inch screen anywhere because it has three different angles for your device, book, or phone. It features a lower back and allows you to sit your device straight up. I don't even have to slouch to fit it on my lap. I can lay on my side with my device at an angle without it falling over. It has a cupped area on the bottom to keep your device secure, but unlike most holders, it doesn't prevent you from using the entire device. It's both soft and sturdy, with just enough stiffness to keep it in place. It's neither too small nor too large; it's just the right size. YOU SAVED MY BACK AND MY LIFE WITH YOUR BEST INVENTION EVER! It's the most amazing thing! Fantastic! It had to be a woman who designed this. Sorry, guys, but this is the most useful and comfortable lap stand ever! br>My husband took mine right away, and the second Flipy is on its way. br>The cover is soft and machine washable, and the lighter blue color is cheerful. br>I enjoy using the Flipy for my iPad for reading, listening to music, watching movies, and, most importantly, following a recipe on my iPad in the kitchen. It can be read from a variety of angles. br>The designer deserves credit for my neck. br>The Flipy will not let you down. I give it a 5 out of 5 star rating.
