That design can be found on the one I bought. If it makes a difference, the case's raised design acts as a cushion if it falls to the ground. I'm sure the manufacturer could explain the raised feature in greater detail.
A drive with the following specifications will fit in the compartment: 2" x 5" x 0.5" 5" H. I hope this has been of assistance.
It will, in fact.
Yes. With the cable, I have a 5TB hard drive that fits perfectly.

It fits my WD 5TB Elements external hard drive perfectly, and it has a padded internal lining to protect it from damage, as well as a nice elastic strap to keep it from moving around too much. The inner mesh pouch holds the special cable that came with my drive, and I like the padded flap that sits between the mesh pouch and the drive compartment - it adds a nice touch. It prevents the drive from being scratched by the cable's metal parts.
According to the listing, the "internal dimensions: 11 x 3. 54 x 1. "zero inches" Because of its very square corners, this will not fit my Lacie "Porsche Designs" 4TB drive. The size of the drive is 5 x 3 inches. 3 x 0. I figured it would fit because it was 08" tall. If your drive is close to the listed dimensions, make sure it has very rounded corners (at least a 1/2" radius round over or it won't fit).
The overall fit and finish is impressive, and everything appears to be well-made and sturdy. It comes with a wrist lanyard that clips on and a small d-ring. You can attach it to almost anything while traveling with the ring clip. The exterior is hard plastic, but it has a more refined feel to it and appears to be very durable. The inside is lined with a soft cushioned felt or velvet-like material that provides excellent protection for the contents. This little case checks all the boxes for my needs and is an outstanding value at its current price of $9. The inside separation flap is cushioned and holds two slots on one side for sd cards and other similar items. This small case appears to be extremely adaptable, and it would be ideal for carrying a variety of items. I would purchase from you again without hesitation.
I purchased this to transport a WD Elements 4TB hard drive; the other WD hard drives are all the same size, so it will fit them all. This was purchased to replace the original soft case I purchased from WD, which they no longer sell. That one lasted for at least 12 years of daily use in my briefcase. br>This hard case is a good size; the HDD fits without taking up too much room, it is well padded, and it is sturdy enough to protect the HDD. The interior has two sides, one for securing the HDD and the other for storing accessories like cables. It has enough space to hold a few extra items. This wasn't advertised as a case with two hard drives. Between the HDD and the exterior hard case on the side where it is strapped in, there is additional padding. The outside is made of a plastic. The Drive is then protected from the inside of the case by a padded flap that sits on top of it. It appears to be well made; the zipper has a small handle for opening and closing, and there's even a small metal ring attached to a cloth strap sewn into the opposite end of the zipper, as well as a small carabiner. Because of the close fit to the height, it appears that the Drive will be well protected. The long axis has about 3/4" to 7/8" more room, but the width is still a tight fit. An elasticized band secures the drive, and a half-high net with an elastic band top holds a cable or other small items on the opposite side of the case. When it comes to items like this, I am quite picky, so I would suggest this case. br>I take good care of my belongings, and I believe a HDD would survive a short drop without being damaged, but this product is not rated for any drops. I'd trust the case if it was exposed to a small amount of liquid for a short period of time, such as a light rain if you were carrying it from a building to a car.
I needed a case that was just big enough to hold my WD Black P10 drive while also providing plenty of padding and protection, and this one fit the bill perfectly. When the USB cable is stored in the mesh pocket and the case is zipped shut, the case has a slightly snug fit because my drive is about 1/4" thicker than most other external drives. It won't affect the drive's protection, but I'm worried that it will put too much strain on any SD cards stored in the interior padding flap. The lanyard and carabiner are both well-made and durable. I'm glad I made them, but I'm not sure I'll use them very often. The EVA material on the outside appears to be sturdy, with just enough pliability to provide additional shock absorption. br>The case's top does not match the image in the product description. A raised "H" pattern can be found on it. For me, it's not a big deal because I was aware of it prior to purchase after reading previous reviews. br>It suits me fine.
For my WD 1TB and 2TB external hard drives, I bought two cases. The drives slid into the case perfectly. The case is durable enough to be taken on a trip with. For easy carrying, it comes with a wrist strap and a caribiner. There is an elastic strap on the drive to keep it secure, as well as a mesh pocket for your power cord and two pockets for SD storage cards. Overall, this is a nice little carry case for the external drive, and the design is excellent.
What I like best about it is that it can hold all of the accessories for my pocket hard drive, and it's well-designed with a flap that separates the cables from the hard drive, reducing the risk of damage to the cable tips. If you prefer to carry the case in this manner, it comes with a carrying strap that fits over your hand. Otherwise, if you put it in a briefcase or a backpack, it won't take up much space and will fit nicely. Bottom line, this is well made of quality materials and well thought out for its compact design. I have a laptop back that it fits in and no one would know it is in there because it is that small.
On January 15, 2021, I paid for it. On January 26, 2021, the zipper broke. br>br>In addition, because the specs are on the small side, I had to use a smaller external hard drive than they claimed it could hold. br>br>It's a fish story, sort of. Most likely, the zipper would have broken sooner if I had used the original hard drive for which I purchased this case. br>br>While customer service was excellent and promptly resolved my issue, I will not be purchasing this unit again. br>br>If you want a case that will last a long time, go with Case Logic, especially this model, the Case Logic PHDC1BK, for external hard drives. I have one of these and it is an absolute tank. The extra buck or two they charge is well worth it.
