The PA7010 is the real deal. As a replacement for a pair of AV600 units that I'm using to connect a POE router to my main gigabit data switch in my house, I ordered these renewed PA7017 (AV1000) units. Four hardwired IP cameras are served by the POE, meaning that the powerline connection must handle streaming video 24x7. The TP-value is measured this way Using Link Utility, I was able to get about 120 to 130 Mbps from my AV600s. Rather than spend a lot of money on the AV1000 units, I chose the renewed versions, assuming that they would also be open-source The customer returned a box or unit that didn't meet the customer's requirements. Rather than the PA7017 Nano units, I received the OLDER PA7010 (AV1000) units, which are considerably larger than the ones pictured. As they are so large, it makes other outlets impossible to use when I install them where my AV600s are located. I did receive a single ethernet cable, instead of the normal two, with the pair, and they appeared to have been in use for some time. I was also disappointed that I only got one ethernet cable with the pair, not two. As a result, these PA7010 devices did pair with each other quickly and worked. To the best of our knowledge, Using Link utility, my power line connection has jumped up to a steady 210 to 220 Mbps, a 65 percent increase in speed. * I realize older PA7010 units sell for more than the newer PA7017 units, but I was really hoping to get the newer Nano form factor and the newer It's on the verge of being returned and I'm going to spend the extra $12 to upgrade to a.
My first impressions of this product are very favorable. You must know that the PLC of this technology has some limitations in regards to electric networks, and here are my results to illustrate this My first test was to use an Ethernet cable directly from the router to check my internet connection. There is a download speed of 150Mbps and an upload speed of 20Mbps. As such, this is the maximum I would expect to transport in this couple of TPs It is a link In a third test, I plugged the devices directly into the router with one end of the device plugged into a wall outlet adjacent to it. One of the first tests was to connect the 2nd device to the same wall outlet as the 1st device. Here, I used the best possible situation the same outlet, the same circuit (breaker), and the The results are A download speed of 150 Mbps and an upload speed of 18 Mbps. We are having a good time so far! Second test I took the 2nd device and plugged it into another electrical outlet I know belongs to the same circuit breaker box, but located on a different circuit The results are Downstream speed is 100Mbps, and upward speed is 14Mbps. I moved the device to the third try, which has a separate circuit breaker box, which is in a different area of the house (same electrical service/meter), moved the device to the third spot, and tested. In this case, there were 50 Mbps down and 14 Mbps up. I think that this device works very well, but there are some limitations if you want to jump through circuit breakers and especially if you have cascaded circuit breakers. So my advice to you can be that this device is really good, but you have to be aware of its limitations.
The connection is much more stable than one created by a wireless connection If you need the speed, wi-fi will work better, but wi-fi may not work better if you don't need it. Compared to my standard wifi, I got about half the download speed with this While upload speeds were slightly slower over WiFi, download speeds were not greatly affected. Which, on it's own, is not necessarily a deal breaker at the most, it means I need to use a wired connection when I'm making sure my computer is stable and disable it otherwise. The quality of your electrical wiring is supposed to affect performance, so I'm not sure if that was the case. Although my home is about 8 years old, I am hopeful it will not have any noticeable problems.
My understanding is that. The fact that this existed has probably escaped me for the longest time, but I'm very excited about it. This year has been very busy for me, I've had three big projects An Ethernet cable running from my upper office to my living room's entertainment section can be seen from my downstairs office. It is unsightly and is even UGLY, but it is There could not have been a simpler way to use this fantastic invention! The answer is obvious Open the box and you will find all the information you need. Plugging the box into the wall, plugging the small white cord into the box, and plugging the other end of the small white cord into where the huge industrial Ethernet cable is plugged in. Basically, you just have to do this for each end of the Ethernet cable, it is super-easy! My understanding is that. My understanding is that. Here's a really basic thing to talk about. The fact that I'm bored probably explains it. It is still pretty cool, though.
I didn't get any power out of the wall socket and it was hot.
It is important to have a large bandwidth. From the same manufacturer, we had the 600 megabit version of the same exact product. The product worked reasonably well, but sometimes the technology we plugged into it would get confused, lose connection, drop packets, and so forth. Although the performance was poor, it was not the fault of the devices, but the relatively low bandwidth they could generate. Using these 1 gigabit transfer rate power line adapters, these problems are removed, and you get a fast and stable connection that is generally faster than you could get by relying on Wi-Fi. Only the Internet is available. There is only one way to make setup simpler if they floated out of the box and plugged themselves in. Our hearts go out to.
The process of retrying did not work I tried linking them in different rooms, but it did not work. In the process of inspecting the box, I noticed that it is refurbished. During the ordering process, I managed to miss the "Refurbished" language. It has returned.
I have both of them on the same power circuit, and they both work well. The possibility of rebroadcasting my WiFi signal appeals to me If I needed, I could easily get in touch with you. Power is cut upstairs because the breaker is in a different location. The only thing I get is 50 to 60 The upstairs connection is only 60 Mbps compared to the downstairs connection of 1 Gbps. My network could stay blazing fast if I ran just one cable between floors.
