Questions & Answers

Can you tell me the amps of the output?

On the back of my unit, the label states that the output is 48 volts DC at 0 amps. An amp draw of 35.

In my case, I'm going to use this for IP cameras. When is a splitter used instead of an injector? Although there is a cost difference, they appear the same to me. ?

The short answer is Ethernet and power are combined and sent via your Ethernet cable through a network injector. The reverse of this is achieved by a splitter. Essentially, the power and the ethernet cables are separated. The two must be used A Power over Ethernet switch is a handy way to remotely power a device that cannot be powered by simply using POE. In my attic, I used them to power an unmanaged switch that I was unable to power by a wall wart. This allowed me to run cable drops instead of connecting wirelessly to network equipment that was demanding. Gaming consoles and 4K Roku's use a lot of WIFI, but my mesh WIFI only offers around 60Mbps With an Ethernet cable, I get more than 900Mbps when connected to 100Mbps.

In order to illuminate an existing POE camera with 12 volt Ir, I need a 12v Ir power supply. Can I use my PoE camera with the male RJ45 female output end carrying the 48V plus data. ?

You can choose between 12V and 5V for the DC output jack. On pins 3 and 4 and 7,8 of the RJ45 post adapter, there is no power. A DC splitter cord can be used to remove 12V from the DC output. The IR illuminator would have to be small so as not to overload either end of the POE supply.

With this connection, I will be able to connect a DVR that is 675 feet away. Using the router as an example. The splitter at the DVR can be used to chain two injectors together. Can I use two injectors?

It is not PoE or power that is the problem, but signal loss over such a distance. The signal won't be transmitted beyond a few hundred feet with a solid CAT6 cable. Additionally, I do not recommend you daisy chain injectors. You are merely adding power, not repeating a

You don't want to lose your cable modem because of this! For use with grounded equipment, do not use! The output of this device is offset against the positive side of Poe at 48V! Positive terminal is 36V above ground! Negative terminal is 36V above ground! There could be a leak of magic smoke from your Poe switch because of this! This device forced me to lose a $200 Motorola cable modem! *br>*br>The Trendnet model behaves the same way DO NOT USE!

There is only one, massive adapter included with the unit The pieces don't fit together
3/5

The purpose of this purchase was to integrate it into a new building's PoE network. There was a chance I could use several of those to power Actiontec's MoCa adapters and the Foscam IP cameras. I am unfortunately concerned about the size of the cord that goes from the splitter to the device - it is huge and difficult to handle. The only one is the one and This device can currently power 4 cameras and 1 MoCA adapter, but I have yet to find one that can power more than one. Considering it is universal, wouldn't it be better to have more than one size? Wouldn't it be cool if you could make it smaller and ship 1? In addition to this, TP Link does not offer phone support and their online chat support never replies. You should not purchase this product or work with this.

The hub is powered by this power supply
5/5

When there is a power outage, I like to keep our entire network operational. There is one network hub installed in the basement all by itself. In place of attaching the hub to its own battery backup, I chose to use a POE injector with the router and modem so that the battery backup could be shared. I wanted to stick to IEEE 802. Because it was my first time using POE, I decided to use A simple solution is to use 3af compliant POE devices. Having set it up was a breeze, and it has run without a hitch. There was one somewhat challenging part, and that was to get the proper barrel size for the power connector, but luckily it was one of the items listed on Amazon for sale. The fact that it allows for different power settings is a plus for me.

To manually check the output voltage, first do the following The video tuner on my television bricked due to this
3/5

In addition to buying this device, I also purchased the TL-R A brand new PoE10R (which is mentioned in the description as suitable for this splitter) is available. They powered my TV tuner, but the injector would not turn on the TV tuner when I connected the injector and light on the splitter started blinking. After unplugging the tuner and hooking up a multimeter to the splitter, I discovered that the voltage fluctuates between 2 and 5 volts at all times. It came as a surprise to me that the TV tuner was no longer working even when powered by the OEM power supply directly. I have since hooked the splitter up to another PoE injector and it also supplies constant voltage, so I believe that the problem lies with this device. But they will both be replaced with another version in the near future.

Seven months later, the project was abandoned
3/5

Seven months ago, this device worked perfectly. Now it doesn't work at all. have it replaced under warranty but the tech staff wanted me to spend a considerable amount of time gathering useless data, which consisted of asking me for the model numbers of the devices that were connected to it, etc. It was completely pointless. My next purchase was another product from another manufacturer since I'd given up on my first.

This is perfect
5/5

It is exactly what I needed to power microphones for my four cameras that do not come with built-in audio (they have audio in and out connections, though). On Amazon, I also purchased microphones (VideoSecu High Sensitive Preamp Mini Audio Pickup Tiny Spy Microphone with Power Bypass for Security Audio Sound Voice Monitoring Recording with Bonus Warning Decal WD4) and I now have excellent audio listening on all four My TP-Link PoE (Power over Ethernet) ethernet cable plugs into the TP-Link TP-Link PoE 6 port hub Upon completing the link, we are presented with a regular data ethernet connector output and a selectable 6/9/12 VDC camera output can be connected to the computer via the handy data ethernet cable that is included. Through the use of the included short power cord, power is sent from the power source to the microphone. The microphone transmits power to Speeds of up to Gigabit. It's nice to have everything work the way you expected it to. (We are now going to install the camera speakers and we are ready to go. Hope to see the same result as before In addition to powering the speakers, Link can also provide power to the router.

It is the perfect combination for powering Raspberry Pis or Pine 64s
5/5

The following text has been translated into Chinese An ideal pairing for this adapter is the Link PoE Splitter It is the perfect combination for powering Raspberry Pis or Pine 64s. The PoE+ Fanless Switch I used it with A lab that wants to avoid guessing games if the microbes are present with these three tools is the best place to use them A lot of power is going to PCs. In addition to being cheaper than many others, this splitter has a maximum output of 15 watts. The recommended time to finish this project is 4 days (about 10 days). I used the PoE switch to plug in the device and it was able to boot using 5000mw instead of the 2300mw it uses from the Rpi 3 (I probably could have tuned it more, but I have not tried it The device has a selector switch for switching between different voltages, which I really love. You can find many adapters for different devices with the barrel adapter, so if you need to power something else, you can use the barrel adapter.
