This has been my computer for about 2 months now and I am very pleased with its Connected to my router on the opposite side of my house, my primary unit is located upstairs on the second floor. It is about 40 feet away from the elevator on the 1st floor Since the second unit goes in a different room that has no hardwired connections, I am connecting it to my NAS (Wifi signal reaches here easily, so that is how everything else in the house is linked). Using the wiring in my home, the connection over my network is now performing at full speed, and I have experienced no speed drop with my NAS since I moved it. Since my house is only seven years old, I am not able to comment on how well this would work on older houses or power lines.

Having access to the internet in my detached garage sounded appealing because I was planning on doing some workouts there. To avoid compatibility issues, I decided to buy the same brand of router to avoid any issues with the house router. Upon initial installation, I had no network connections, but I lost wifi connectivity from my main laptop for working from home every time I plugged it in. In any case, this is unacceptable. As a result of contacting tech support, I was able to get my laptop working again and lost all internet/wifi in the garage (I had a router connected to it in the garage since the router only gives wired connections without it). In frustration, I followed additional tech support instructions, but it did not help, so at that point I gave up and bought a different brand of extender for half the price that had no issues. It needs to be tested further. While I do some IT troubleshooting at work, I do it for a salary, so I am not spending $60 on a repair that takes a couple hours to resolve. In other reviews, some users claimed that it was working just to cease working months or weeks.
