My first purchase of this item was very HOT all the time. It was dangerous without anything to blow towards My firmware was updated for this product, and it is now running There will still be some warmth, but not a lot of heat. When I connect my laptop with the new firmware, it is no longer freezing up. You may contact the manufacturer's support department if you have this issue. Call them and let them know you need a firmware update because your PC is running hot. When you do not know what you are doing and you are reckless. How I did it is the same way you can do it. My Cable Matters 10GBE thunderbolt 3 firmware has been upgraded to version 3, which is referred to as "Aquantia AQtion 10Gbit Network Adapter". The ratio is 333. The "MarvellFlashUpdate_1" has been used 109 times. No. 3. There are 109 words in this sentence. Please use at your own risk as I guarantee nothing. Take the time to research for yourself. You might not be as lucky as I was with my piece of hardware. There is the option to rollback the firmware update, but I have not yet used I did not need to do so.
It is too bad I cannot really test it to the limit as I do not have any other computer that does 10G that I can use to test the iperf. In this case, I was able to achieve 3Gbps transmission rate by using 4 1Gb bundled links to transfer files to Synology. When it's not under a lot of load, this little machine gets quite warm. issue, which I am still trying to resolve is whether it is the driver, or maybe it's my network setting, is that when I use "as is", it takes quite a bit to begin a new website session or to initiate a SMB session. During the loading of a page, for example, the page would take around five In that case, it would be safe for a while, until the device becomes idle, then it would repeat. In addition, when using speedtest. net or DSL report, running them as they are, you might have trouble doing speed tests on the upload, and receive an error message stating some ports are being blocked. But when combined with a A software balance program such as "Turbo LAN" would solve all these problems. Based on build quality and functionality, I give it 4 stars, removed 1 star due to some issues I've been experiencing, but it is not clear whether those issues are connected to the device driver.
As it happens, this NIC does connect at 10Gbps, and I'm able to pass around 9Gbps of traffic through it in both directions (probably limited by my workstation or the server The idling of the machine does not improve the cooling. As I waited for the car to idle, the temperature reached 120F. In fact, it is hot enough that I was afraid of leaving it on top of my plastic computer case, for fear that it would eventually encrust the enclosure. The fact that it is running this hot makes me wonder how much power it is using. The thunderbolt 10Gbps NICs most likely run hot, so this does not seem to be a problem. I have not yet encountered any stability problems with this NIC, as compared with those of its competitors.
Ten thousand megabits! No issues with it. Does what I need it to do. I have a MacBook Pro C. You do not need to set up anything. Simply connect one end to the machine, the other to a 10Gb port, and you'll be moving bits in no time! There are some disadvantages to the 1Gb SSD -- it's heavy and large and therefore much more expensive than the 1Gb SSD. Thanks to Mr. Moore, prices will come down and sizes will shrink over time.
It worked once I downloaded the latest driver, and I had to use the built-in Intel Thunderbolt software that is included with Windows 10 to turn on thunderbolt. I was able to connect to the 10Gb connection with no problem. In my experience, it didn't get hot on large file transfers, but it did get warm when trying to transfer large files. The result is satisfactory to me.
I was unable to sustain a 10GBE transfer for more than 5 minutes before it overheated and started You get very warm even when you are.
I was able to pick it up from two different vendors ahead of time. However, I was not able to get any of them to work despite their claims of Thunderbolt 3 compatibility. I saw lights as soon as I plugged it into the T3 port, and it was detected by my Thunderbolt software. My computers are Dell Precision 5530s with TB16 port replicators.
Although it is very easy to use, it gets incredibly hot without a fan. I kind of wish it had one. Cable for thunderbolt 3 is included.
