STEP 2 PLUGGING IN You can play. This is the only Windows 10 feature STEP 2 PLUGGING IN Unlike other products, PLAY can truly be plugged in and forgotten about. There was no need for me to do anything after plugging it in, and I didn't have to purchase a version. The drivers were automatically updated by Windows after it recognized the device. Having trouble connecting to the hardware that came with my PC, I disabled the built-in bluetooth and this Avantree Bluetooth worked great in its place. Using my new Bose SoundSport Wireless headphones and Satechi bluetooth remote, I was able to pair them seamlessly. I have found this adapter stick to be extremely responsive, and latency is never an issue. It is a perfect purchase for me!.

After seeing my original review (posted below this update), Avantree contacted me and offered to replace the item for free. The replacement arrived within three days at no cost to me. Unlike the first dongle I tried, this one was able to connect to both my phone and headset regardless of how I connected it. If the connection does not work immediately, it may require a little bit of juggling to complete the process. As an example, here's what I'll do 1 .
2. The Dongle should then be plugged into the front facing USB port of the computer (Avantree recommends using this If you have Windows 10, do not attempt to install any software. As a result, the dongle cannot work properly due to the software. The second is. The Bluetooth dongle should be recognized by Windows 10 immediately because it has built-in drivers for the Bluetooth technology. If you look at the tray (bottom right, where the time shows) and see the Bluetooth logo, you can determine the right model. 3
You can turn Bluetooth on by going to Settings/Devices/Bluetooth. Scroll down to "Related Settings/Other Bluetooth Options" and make sure the box is checked for your computer to be discovered. Four point four. Connect your phone as soon as your computer's name appears in the Bluetooth settings on your phone. Once you've connected your phone, go to your Bluetooth settings on your phone again and continue as normal. If this is the case, you may have a code check between the phone and the computer. Note 5. If you turn off the Bluetooth service on your phone, your phone and computer will remain paired, however you will not be connected. I. - 6. You should now turn on your headset and make sure that the pairing/discovery mode is on. You should be able to only see the headset on your computer now that you've turned off Bluetooth on your phone. If you can't find your headset in the Other Devices list under Settings/Bluetooth, you need to look in the Settings/Bluetooth/Other Devices list. To connect, click on the button. You can now turn off your phone's Bluetooth service once your headset is connected. Depending on what you do, you may have to click on the computer name again to connect.
8. all there is to Both your phone and your headset should be connected via Bluetooth. Apparently with the Bluetooth dongle, it registers only one audio device (whichever is connected first) and then cannot register the second audio device. The main purpose of this method is to trick the dongle into seeing only one audio device at a time. Due to the requirement for a manual disconnect in pairing, you cannot connect both items until you manually disconnect them.
Here are some more tips You need to make sure that the headset you have connected via Bluetooth is the default audio device (I've set it for both sound and recording as the The Sound Settings/Playback Devices/Advanced tab (right-click), when on any of the devices you want to play When you click the sound icon in your tray, ensure exclusivity mode is not selected. You can tell the app to take exclusive control over this device by clicking this button. This basically means that when you run some applications, they will only use your audio. As a result, your phone calls will not work while audio is playing to your headset on your computer. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them. In light of the fact that I am able to use both the headset and dongle and the audio is crystal clear on both, and there is no interfering/disturbing between them, I now revise my review to a positive one. A 4 out of 5 star rating is my rating. Since this item did not come with instructions that specified this process, one star has been taken away due to the "juggling setup" that was necessary. It is my pleasure to thank Avantree for their superior customer service and prompt response time. It was mainly for using my Bluetooth headphones to listen to PC Audio that I purchased this product. I'm plugging-in Players are able to use Play without installing software or drivers. As a matter of fact, it stopped working when the BlueSoleil drivers were installed. Currently I am using a Lenovo PC running Windows 10. I paired the phone and transferred my file without problem, as the Bluetooth found my phone. I was unable to connect my Bluetooth headset since it didn't find it. It still wasn't able to locate and play sound from the headset after 2 hours of fiddling with it (internet research and making adjustments). As part of my research, I was surprised to discover that it uses an old CSR chipset, which has been discontinued by CSR. Qualcomm acquired them and provided the last known drivers (no new drivers will come) but offered no other support (no new drivers will come). Learn this lesson Consider finding an adapter that does not use CSR technology as much as possible. I am giving it one star because the product was advertised as serving the purpose I was looking for when it didn't.
The Lenovo Ideacentre AIO Y910 I purchased in December 2017 featured a Qualcomm bluetooth function that was impressive. I was satisfied with the outcome. paired my desktop with my Echo Dots and could listen to movies, music, podcasts, and Youtube anywhere in the house without having to be in front of my After the Windows 10 update in March 2018, the bluetooth function and drivers were completely removed. The reinstallation or rollback of the application failed to fix it. There was a problem with the internal bluetooth function, which rendered it inoperable. Microsoft support was of no assistance and I was furious. Having finally given into my reluctance, I bought this to fulfill the same purpose. While I'm mad that I've had to pay for something I already paid for my computer to have, and that I've wasted the USB plug I already have, it worked and was truly plug and play, though the process of linking all my speakers and Echo Dots is more complicated. With the original Bluetooth capabilities, for instance, I was able to choose either one or both of the Dots to automatically connect when Bluetooth For some reason I cannot have them play together or instruct Alexa verbally to connect/disconnect. With this bluetooth, voice control does not work, Alexa cannot disconnect (she can do it, but then it automatically reconnects), and just one Dot can connect while the other cannot. The Bluetooth settings on my computer have to be changed every time I wish to make a change, so I must pair/unpair and connect/disconnect my headphones. There is something frustrating about this. In case anyone knows of a way to circumvent this or the original bluetooth death, let me know, I'd appreciate it deeply. Fortunately, the range for the device is great, I live in a two story townhouse with 1200 square feet, and my computer was able to see the Dot in the bedroom and downstairs without any problems. There is a strong connection between people.
