Questions & Answers

I read somewhere that you can't play Xbox games directly from this hard drive, so you'll have to transfer games back and forth. Is that so?

On my Xbox One, I play a lot of games directly from my external hard drive. It works fine for me and I haven't had any problems with it; however, if you own a Series X/S, it may be an issue. A HDD cannot be used to play Series X and Series S enhanced games. These are the ones that were created specifically for the Series S/X. Non- Games that aren't enhanced for the Series generation (regular Xbox One games) work fine, but you can easily and quickly transfer games from an external hard drive to the Xbox. As a result, you have that option at all times.

Is it compatible with the new MacBook Pro 2019?

Yes.

My MacBook Pro is now connected to the Canvio Flex portable storage. What should I do if I need to go back to the beginning? all of it on it?

When you connect your new hard drive to your Mac for the first time and it appears on Desktop, your Mac should prompt you to use it as a Time Machine backup. If it doesn't, go to the Time Machine icon in the Menu Bar and select Open Time Machine Preferences from the drop-down menu. You should be able to add a drive to Time Machine and choose your new hard drive from there.

Is the iPad Air 4 supported?

Yes, it is.

Toshiba's return process is a joke, and it has repeatedly failed
3/5

This was a fantastic solution. only for a short period of time Then my computer warned me that the drive had errors, and when I tried to check it with Disk Utility, the disk failed and wouldn't mount. It was fortunate that the data on it had been backed up to a cloud service. In the end, I had to completely reformat the hard drive. It failed again within a few weeks. I was only using it as a local folder for a cloud service at the time, so I was fortunate once more. When I tried to use Toshiba's online RMA process to return it for the third time, I got stuck in a looping form that never progressed to asking for my information (I've tried multiple browsers). In the past, I've had good luck with Toshiba drives, but this one was a complete waste of money. BUYING IS A MISTAKE.

Hard Drive Click of Death in a Week ***DO NOT BUY*** For about a week, I used it to save photos of my late dog and a few other photos
3/5

The hard drive, which I had been carrying around in my backpack, is now unusable. It received the "click of death," which makes a hard drive unreadable and prevents it from being accessed normally. It isn't corrupted, but it does require professional assistance, which will cost you money. $$$$br>br>Please get a different brand, as Toshiba has also proven to be unhelpful.

Backup time is 3 days
3/5

Data in the amount of 4 terabytes. I was looking forward to using this drive on our various Macbooks as well as my work computer, but what a nightmare! br>I began making copies of several very large iphoto libraries and picture folders I had accumulated on a Mac formatted Seagate USB Drive, would leave the computer unattended (it would take several hours to download these 5 to 10 GB files from another drive connected to the Mac), and on more than one occasion, I would return to find a message on the Mac's screen stating that "the drive was not ejected properly. " I discovered that this error caused the drive to become unrecognizable by the Mac, necessitating the connection of the drive to my Windows notebook to repair it, then restarting everything. (Then try again, try again, try again, try again, try again, try again, try again, try again, try again ) However, I was adamant about finishing the backups of family photos, so I persevered. br>This drive is now so slow that it's practically useless, and the countless failed attempts to complete my backups have taken so long that I can't even return it to the vendor. br>I recently purchased a MyCloud EX2 Ultra NAS, which is something I should have done from the start. br>Last Sunday (04/04) night, I connected the drive to my Mac to transfer the backups to the NAS, and I only had one backup. Today (Wednesday, 04/07), 42TB came to a close. Is anyone willing to put up with that? br>Don't waste your money on this slow drive; you'll end up with a useless silver colored paper weight as a result.

It is not possible to use the device
3/5

I bought this product last month, on May 27th, but hadn't had the chance to use it yet. Last night (June 26th), I took the item out of its original box. I plugged it into my Macbook laptop, and it flashed and appeared on my screen before disappearing. I had not pressed any buttons or done anything else, so I had no idea what had happened. I tried to eject the disk as instructed to avoid any potential damage, but I was unable to do so. I then unplugged it from my Macbook and plugged it into my Dell laptop to see if anything changed, but there was no difference. It was also unusable with this piece of equipment. This makes me very unhappy because I have a piece of equipment that doesn't work, and I don't believe Amazon will refund my money for this defective item.

The drive is fine, but the connector isn't quite right
3/5

The hard drive itself is in good condition, but the connector is extremely flimsy. It must be handled with extreme caution. You won't be able to retrieve your data if the cable is twisted in any way. Also: Never put your data in the hands of a single device; make multiple backups on various drives! You don't want to lose your most important photographs because you didn't spend an extra hundred dollars on them.

It's a fantastic option for HDD storage
5/5

This was purchased to serve as an external capture location for my Xbox One S's shots and clips. The blue light on top of the device serves as a clear read/write indicator. The USB cable that comes with the product is included. 3 as well as USB- Compatible devices can be connected using C cables. Obviously, it cannot compete with the speed of an SSD, so it may not be suitable for the impatient: however, capacity-based It's difficult to beat the price (especially if you get it on sale, as I did). Finally, the drive, like LITERALLY EVERY DATA STORAGE MEDIUM, uses some of the internal memory to support the drive's operation. Ignore the reviews that complain about it only having 1. 8TB usable space', indicating that those individuals are unfamiliar with storage devices in general, as well as modern electronics in particular.

This is an excellent place to keep your Steam library
5/5

On my laptop, it performs admirably. Because my internal drive was running out of space, I put my entire Steam library on it. br>It didn't work with my Android phone because it wanted to format it, which I wasn't about to do since I'd just put all my games on it. And I haven't had a chance to test it on my iPad yet, so I'll post an update once I have. br>In general, I enjoy this drive and would recommend it to others. It's small, light, and easy to carry around. There's also a lot of silence. When using the drive (reading or writing to/from it), the blue light can be a little annoying because it flashes quite quickly.

FAILED - RETURN ISSUES THAT ARE CRUCIAL
3/5

THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN APPLIED THREE TIMES - TO STORE DRONE FOOTAGE FROM THE LAPTOP TO THE DRIVE (2) br>ONE TIME FROM HARD DRIVE TO DESKTOP. WHEN TRYING TO GET THE FOOTAGE OFF THE DRIVE, IT FAILED. THE NOISE WAS MADE BY CLICKING. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK, BUT I'M OUTSIDE OF AMAZON'S RETURN WINDOW BECAUSE I DIDN'T USE IT RIGHT AWAY. SO IT'S GOING BACK TO GERMANY NOW, AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT I'LL GET IN RETURN. IT'S EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT. THIS IS A SUGGESTIVE SUGGESTIVE SUGGESTIVE SUGG WORK HARD ON IT AS SOON AS YOU GET IT, TRY TO MAKE IT FAIL, AND IF IT DOESN'T FAIL WITHIN 5 OR 6 ATTEMPTS - TRY AGAIN. YOU ARE CERTAINLY AWESOME. IF IT DOESN'T WORK, RETURN TO AMAZON RIGHT AWAY. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE SAME ONE AGAIN AND SWAPPED THEM TO CLAIM THE FIRST ONE NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT - DUH. ANNOYED.
