Questions & Answers

In my role as a PC gamer streaming on two PCs, I am wondering if I will experience a delay during game play?

The default USB polling rate for KVM switches is 125Hz (essentially the keyboard is checked 125 times per second for button presses). Gaming mice and keyboards will operate at this rate, but most people would prefer to run them After you press a keyboard key after polling, there could be a delay of up to 8ms before the activity is reported, instead of just 1ms if you plug straight into the system. In other words, this delay would not be felt by you. There are several reasons for the complexity of latencies In most cases, gamers can't physically activate a peripheral within 8ms or less due to the nature of button presses on keyboards and mice. Coding in video games varies from game to game. The lag caused by Net code, network latency, and frame rate is much greater than from USB polling, but USB polling is present in front of all these other factors. The easiest way to change streaming settings or chat on a second PC without affecting your gaming experience is to just plug your peripherals directly into your gaming PC and switch to the second PC via a software KVM, like Input Director, this allows you to monitor and control the second PC directly.

A kVM switch might be called a virtual machine switch for a reason. With regards to the other USB devices (keyboard, video, mouse), it only switches between them. ?

This is a KVM because it is historically referred to as such. Because it solves the same problem as a KVM (I have more than one computer and I want one set of I/O to be shared among them) it is still referred to as a KVM because it isn't connected to a video monitor.

The 2 USB cables that come with the device are they long enough?

They are both 2 ft long and included with mine.

The Logitech Unifying receiver does this work with, how well does it work?

A friend of mine uses one and it seems to work well for her. Sometime it will get squirrely, but it is pretty rare and is easily fixed by turning it off and on again

It is a great buy to get the Rybozen dual port USB selector
5/5

Using this tiny little device you can share up to four USB devices between two computers. The switch is not a true KVM switch since it does not switch video, for instance. The HDMI interface. Nevertheless, the vast majority of monitors nowadays have two input ports, so it's not really necessary to use KVM if there are two. There is a mac and a linux box connected to it on the computer side, and there is a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse and several engineering development boards connected on the device side. I can toggle all of the devices back and forth between the two computers at the push of a button. The device has been working flawlessly since the day I received it. Due to the lack of need for tech support, I don't know what Rybozen offers.

Considering the lower price of this switch selector in comparison to its competitors, I was skeptical before I purchased it

There have been no complaints to date. Now that I have used it for a week, it is flawless.

It's simple, cheap, and does what it's supposed to do

Before we go any further, A reader can tell right away that this is not a "KVM Switcher" just by reading the details KM switches do not involve video, which is why it is an KM switch. It's been a long time since I've used a KVM, and I've used them a lot at work and at home back when monitors were all D-type There is always a PS/2 port on a sub, keyboard, and mouse. I just got so frustrated that I went in search of a modern USB KM switch after getting frustrated too many times. In case you don't know, please refer to A pro is Essentially this device does the same thing as a standard 4-inch TV Unlike most hubs that only have one USB port, this one has two jacks. With two USB cables from the switch attached to two different computers, you can easily connect your keyboard, mouse, as well as two additional devices to the ports. You can then use one set of devices with either computer using the two cables from the switch. In my case, I had to start working from home for FMLA. I had a hub on my home computer with keyboard and mouse attached, but when I sat at my desk for work, I had to unplug that connection from the home computer and plug it into my laptop. The problem was, if I wanted to do something on my home computer at the same time (stream music, for example), I had to move the output from one computer to the other and back again whenever I needed to do anything at all My keyboard and mouse are already connected to my two computers after installing this switch. All I have to do is switch from one to another by pressing a button and multitask all day long. I have no idea what I'm doing here. The technology of today is as robust as it can be. A few of the included cables could have been longer, but that's the only complaint I have. However, the rest of its functionality is excellent.

This does the job, but there are a few improvements you can make
4/5

My COVID was in need of this Setting up telework for 19 people. As I switch between my primary home PC and my work laptop, the software lets me manage my keyboard and mouse. Rather than use the laptop's display to see my monitors, I use other methods. It couldn't be easier to operate, you just have to push a A USB port In order to switch between keyboard and mouse, 3 was not needed, so this allows for USB switching. My connection type 2 is fine, but I docked a star based on a couple of minor design issues that can be easily resolved. Firstly, the light on the top of the desk is so dim that if the switch is at the back of the desk you will not be able to see it. Usually, I have to pick up the switch and tilt it to see what it is currently set to. It is either necessary to move the lights forward or to brighten them. The second requirement is that two of the input ports (for the accessories) should be moved to the back. The first two are in the back, and the first two in the I wouldn't have to run cords from the front of the switch to the back of the desk and the keyboard and mouse would go to the back. Make sure the front of the laptop has a couple of ports for thumb drives or other accessories that get plugged in and unplugged often. It looks and works fine, so as long as it works, I'm fine with this change.

A great multi-faceted game System for controlling computers
5/5

On my laptop and my desktop at home, I spend approximately 50 percent of my computer time gaming. A modern, affordable (read affordable) place to stay had been on my wish list for quite some time. The non-profit sector There is no solution to the old KVM switch problems involving a VGA (VGA solution) connection, but there are HDMI (HDMI) solutions for older KVM switches Prices ranged from one to ten digits. A new monitor with multiple HDMI ports and a 3D option came across my desk. I needed to route all audio and video signals to the 5mm audio output, but I also needed to share my wireless keyboard, mouse, printer, and external hard drive between computers to complete the setup. I found this USB switch to be ideal for this The wireless mouse and keyboard dongle didn't seem to be an immediate issue or the need for using the switcher every time I wanted to change machines wasn't an obvious inconvenience. I was pleasantly surprised when it actually wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. In terms of shortcomings, one "major" downside is that the USB plug in and out ports are on both sides of the device, so some cables have to stick out of the device onto my desk. were a little bit wider and all of its USB ports were on the same side, it would be an absolutely This is something that no manufacturer seems to be aware of, so the item fits perfectly into my price range.

A review of the past month has been carried out
4/5

This product was purchased for use between a Mac and a PC so that I could switch between the two devices. A USB port I want to connect the USB-A In general, cables were around 6 feet in length (just to mention it, it seemed like a popular question at the time). My only issue so far has been that every once in a while, if one of the USB A plugs on the switching hub side moves, it will cease to connect to the switching hub and reconnect and disconnect randomly after a while. In my experience, I was able to reinstall the USB and the problem seemed to have been resolved during the initial reinstallation. In addition to being a cheap switching hub, this is also a great option if you simply need a USB hub.
