Questions & Answers

Is it capable of running at 144Hz at ?

Depending on the display card and cable, you may be able to support up to 120 Hz. An unstable system would be one that runs at 144 Hz. We will be receiving a new dual monitor KVM in December which will allow us to connect 4, not just 2. It will not cause any issues once 144hz is available.

During the night, should or can this be powered off?

You have requested information. Thank you. It is recommended that TESmart 2 PCs Dual Monitor KVM Switch be turned off at night to reduce damage and to ensure safety.

Could I use a dp to hdmi adapter with this device for one of the PC ?

A dual-purpose leather bag It is possible to connect a DVI to HDMI converter to one of the inputs for the screen KVM switch. But it should be noted that not all adapters are two-port. The most important thing you need to determine is whether the adapter is DP to HDMI instead of

Approximately what amount of latency does this result in for the video that passes ?

It was a pleasure to speak with you. Video delay is nonexistent on the KVM switch for 4K @ 60Hz. A delay of one second will be observed during the switching process

For the past five months, I've been experiencing speaker problems with this KVM. However, I just found out that it's swapping the left and right audio outputs. Yes, if I plug my speakers directly into my PC tower, Left and Right are at the opposite end from what they are at if I plug them into this KVM. There are a lot of problems buried beneath the surface of this device, so do not buy it. It looks okay, but it has a lot of issues. * * *- The following is a review that was previously written In a nutshell Here are some of the good aspects The hardware appears to be in good condition I am happy with the bundled cables and the size of the device (fits beneath Whether it lasts the test of time and is financially successful remains to be seen The use of extended time. There are a few things wrong There are no great features in the software. is slow, and the extra modes allow users to use only one screen per PC, resulting in unnecessary overhead of screen swapping when using a keyboard and mouse at the same time. I cannot use my mouse wheel to switch Chrome tabs (I have the mouse wheel mapped to shift+tab), and the computer acts like it's holding down the tab key, and I have no way to fix the problem without unplugging and plugging it back in again. The good news is that the generic USB slot can be used instead of the mouse slot to work around the problem. The following is rated 2 This is an inaccurate representation of the fact For having features that do not work properly
It is rated 3 for eating mouse inputs and making it basically unusable
- 2 for having a workaround (don't use the USB mouse port)
I expect far more from a product that's so expensive. * * *- The details are- As of today, I have only had it for a day, so I cannot speak to its durability yet A stable environment is important. Although I have no indication yet that this might break soon, I would be very upset if that were to happen.
The product seems to be of a higher quality than average. The system seems to be working fine with my 4K TV and 1080p monitor (after some initial concerns about my computer allowing me to set 60hz on my 4K display, it now seems to be working). This package includes 4 cables, including one that joins HDMI and USB, which is great for managing cables. The fact that four clearly labelled 4K HDMI cables are included is nice, as it's otherwise hard to tell which of my old HDMI cables will be 4K compatible, which makes troubleshooting issues a bit more challenging. This is huge This is painful. The downside is that the firmware isn't amazing. The first is A device which emulates the screen for people without a monitor advertises that it does this The assumption is that by connecting computers, you will be able to switch between them more quickly, and windows will stay put. There is nothing to be gained by this A computer switch between 1 and 2 is about as fast as a blink of an eye The switch's response time is the same as that of regular KVM switches (about five seconds between pressing the button and the monitors displaying the new computer), and the computer still plays the standard sound regardless, so this is also transparent to it. Clearly number two You can use the keyboard and mouse to interact with the device. It seems that this is to make it easier for you to switch between displays (you can press scroll lock twice and a number button together to change the display mode), but this seems to create In my case, I use a mouse with extra buttons, and I have a mapping for a mouse button that I use to switch chrome tabs (this emulates the shift+tab, and Ctrl+shift+tab It keeps the "tab" key held down when I use this with the KVM, which means I can't use the computer until I plug in the mouse again and the KVM handles the input correctly. I would have had to return the device for this reason alone, but the good news is I found a workaround by plugging my mouse into the generic "usb" slot available on the switch, rather than plugging it into the slot devoted to (The other concern I have with this feature, which I have not investigated and have not verified, is that it might cause my keyboard or mouse to lag more, meaning that this device may not be suitable for gaming. )

#3 With this device, you are able to use two monitors on one computer. You can also use one monitor on each This is a great idea in theory, but in practice it is not very well implemented. I imagine this feature would work the following way computer #1 would appear on monitor #1, computer #2 would appear on monitor #2, and I could quickly switch my keyboard and mouse between computer #1 and computer #2 using the KVM. In fact, how it works is that your keyboard and mouse In every case- Work on monitor #1, and switching modes allows you to see which computers are available on monitor #1, and which ones Normally, it wouldn't be so bad, except I have a 4k and 1080p display, and when I switch between one, I have to switch between both displays, which means my keyboard has to switch, too To move the windows, change the display resolution, and re-initialize the connection, both computers have to shift their resolutions and program their displays to accommodate the second display, adding a ton of friction and extra time to what should have been a simple procedure.

This is a perfect item for multiple computers A multi-display setup is possible
5/5

We provide seamless and reliable services. am looking for a solution in our office setup that has a high level of throughput and will be able to handle at least 10-persons at a time AV switches like this are what 20 KVM switches look like. This was my first test to see if this would work for the needs I was looking for, and I am very pleased with it. The manufacturer in China was very helpful and I have communicated with them. There were no responses I expected, but there were a few. Using this setup of two HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, I have setup a desktop and a laptop. HDMI outputs are available on the laptop as well as USB C (I am using a USB-C cable) Connects HDMI to USB C). I have a DP to HDMI cable on my desktop that turns DP into HDMI when I connect it to the computer. There is no noticeable difference between the two computers. Everything about the remote works as it should. Split screen functionality, which allows you to have one computer on one screen and another computer on the other, is the best feature for our office, as that would allow employees to work on one program while monitoring progress on the other. I tested both computers using the USB hub connected to the KVM switch and both of them detected it. set this up as soon as I got it and couldn't wait to tell you all about the good things this item has to offer. This product is highly recommended for an office or commercial setup and you can use it at home as well. Thank you TESmart for making this product. Those with items should feel free to reach out to me with any questions they have.

Movement of the keyboard and mouse is erratic
3/5

In order to set up my home office, I have been looking for a good economical dual monitor KVM. In my research, one device that kept popping up online and had decent reviews/rankings was the TESmart. Compared to the closest competitor (HDMI), we paid a third of the price. Therefore, once the RF controller is installed (please be reminded that the battery is not included) I think this might be First, I had a problem with any of the devices not recognizing my keyboard. After restarting both and turning the virtual machine off and on a few times, the keyboard became operational. This process has left me repeating it a few times so far. As far as I can tell, the mouse is the biggest problem. If I move it after it is stationary for a while, then the screen will scroll either up or down for some reason. This behavior occurs regardless of how the mouse moves it is not a slight scroll, it takes you to the top, bottom, or both of the page, document, etc. I tried it across several applications, major web browsers, and even some games, and it repeated consistently. A second problem I am having is that the mouse As soon as it does, both machines are affected. Therefore, the mouse requires me to turn the switch off and then on again to function correctly. The website has not even been updated with any fixes since I last looked. It has now been 24 hours since I reached out to their support team, but I have not heard back from them. The pluses include It looks great and the included cables are far better than I expected (excellent quality) Support N/A I have not received any response yet. A new update has been posted The support team reached out and is very nice, but unfortunately does not use a multi-channel method of recording This mouse is a gaming mouse and a function My workflow is streamlined as a result of the inputs I've programmed into the tools I use for work and applications. My next step is to try their fix to see if it solves the problem).
