In addition to a USB keyboard and mouse, I have had partial success using a USB web camera in the side port. It switches between the two computers when connected, and the video also works. On a Windows PC, the webcam works just fine. But on my Mac, the webcam is detected but the KVM switch keeps turning off and on as I try to use it There will be a short period of time where it will be on, then shut off for a moment, then turn on again, Whenever the webcam shuts off, my display goes blank and the light on the webcam goes out. For a moment or two, occasionally, I am able to see what the webcam is showing. In my opinion, my Mac fails to provide sufficient power to power the KVM and the webcam on the USB port. The problem is not arising with the power adapter I'm using, but I will try to find one and report back if that helps.
It works fine if you connect it to a USB port.
My opinion is the same. If it isn't there, it still works. A power cord is not necessary with this computer, but it wasn't provided with mine. What is the point of it having an input?
I recommend connecting the DC power supply to 5V 1A. Moreover, the power cord comes with the product.

Before I bought this one I had already tried two other keyboard/mouse switches and both of them had a 3-pin connector When switching from PC1 to PC2, there is a slight lag of 5 seconds. There are probably not many users who care about this and for me it didn't do the trick. Unlike the others, this one happens instantly! I like the hotkey functionality, because I can now switch between computers without having to leave my position at the keyboard. I'm not sure what to think about the video switching speed, but I ended up using the remote shortcut key on my LG monitor to switch between computers.
I give this product 5 stars despite the fact that the cables it came with were relatively low quality, you could tell by the way the usb plug came out having little contact with the plug and being Sometimes, my hotkey would not switch from one computer to the other and even the manual switch on the box couldn't do it all. As of yet, changing to nicer cables has taken care of that problem.
The first thing I noticed after buying this hub was that USB devices were frequently disconnected and reconnected. The first time I used the KVM, I thought it was not working properly. I have achieved this by touching the USB cable which connects the KVM to the computer and as soon as I do so, the USB devices disconnect. It is really repeatable and I have done so There are two cables included with the KVM. I tried them both. Neither of them can solve the problem on their own. It would be reasonable to assume that a quality control issue was responsible for only 1 cable with a quality issue. The problem now is that both cables are of poor quality. This isn't a rare problem, as far as I know. Rather, it may be indicative of a more general issue. As a result, I'm also concerned about the performance of the KVM. The item will be returned to you. It would have been more prudent to choose a product that was somewhat more expensive but of.
Additionally, the device was disconnected and reconnected each time a computer was switched. With this switch, all your devices are visible on both computers regardless of their operating system. It makes switching between them very fast, and I also really like the keyboard shortcuts because I am able to keep all the wire mess hidden In addition to the ability to operate the switch without a monitor, this switch has several great features. In my experience, I switch my computer keyboard, mouse, and microphone a lot more often than I do one monitor, so I prefer to use the switch without a monitor. It has been a problem with Windows not picking up the switch a couple of times. Although the problem seems to have been resolved by connecting the powered 5 volt input to the switch, it appears to occur from time to time.
In order to switch the monitor, the keyboard, and the mouse, I would need to switch the hardware. The Bluetooth would sometimes stop working for me. When I bought this, I thought, "I guess it will be good enough for the money. ". Not wanting to spend more, I did not want to buy anything else. That was a mistake I wish I hadn't made. The device features a good quality button on a cord that allows me to move it closer to my keyboard while tucking the unit away behind my A number of computers are in use at the same time. It is the type of product I would buy again without a doubt.
After a month, the machine broke. I thought it was just one of the cables, but replaced it and still nothing happens. It seems a port on the KVM switch on the server has failed, which is disappointing since the port wasn't used but for plugging in the once upon initial setup. It is nice to have the button/remote feature on this unit, since it allows you to hide all the cables behind your desk and only have the button on top of your desk to do the switching. If this had lasted longer, I would have given it a five-star rating. If the seller does not replace, I hope he will.
All of the hardware works great with my HP Elitebook and LG Gram laptops, as well as the mouse, keyboard, and HDMI monitor. I had to adjust the speed of my mouse on the laptops because the pointer was too slow at first. It later became apparent that the issue was related to the mouse, so I swapped it for a wireless one. This simple hotkey switch works very well (hit the <CNTL> key to switch) If you want to use a PC other than the one you selected, you need to press twice and then one or two). The remote switcher and switch on the device are not even used by me, nor do I have a power supply hooked up to it. I guess you only need it if your USBs aren't providing power.
Made from thick and sturdy materials, this bag is well-made and well-built. Our system was not working for some of the features so we had to call tech support. They were very helpful and quickly resolved the problem. It was a good experience and the technician helped us get the rest of the installation completed. Excellent value for the money.
There is about a second delay when switching between two computers, but it is not something I can avoid. I have a 34 inch curved wide screen with 3440 resolution, and I was somewhat concerned, but it works fine. It's not a big deal to me.
