Before I bought this one I had already tried two other keyboard/mouse switches and both of them had a 3-pin connector When switching from PC1 to PC2, there is a slight lag of 5 seconds. There are probably not many users who care about this and for me it didn't do the trick. Unlike the others, this one happens instantly! I like the hotkey functionality, because I can now switch between computers without having to leave my position at the keyboard. I'm not sure what to think about the video switching speed, but I ended up using the remote shortcut key on my LG monitor to switch between computers.

I give this product 5 stars despite the fact that the cables it came with were relatively low quality, you could tell by the way the usb plug came out having little contact with the plug and being Sometimes, my hotkey would not switch from one computer to the other and even the manual switch on the box couldn't do it all. As of yet, changing to nicer cables has taken care of that problem.

The first thing I noticed after buying this hub was that USB devices were frequently disconnected and reconnected. The first time I used the KVM, I thought it was not working properly. I have achieved this by touching the USB cable which connects the KVM to the computer and as soon as I do so, the USB devices disconnect. It is really repeatable and I have done so There are two cables included with the KVM. I tried them both. Neither of them can solve the problem on their own. It would be reasonable to assume that a quality control issue was responsible for only 1 cable with a quality issue. The problem now is that both cables are of poor quality. This isn't a rare problem, as far as I know. Rather, it may be indicative of a more general issue. As a result, I'm also concerned about the performance of the KVM. The item will be returned to you. It would have been more prudent to choose a product that was somewhat more expensive but of.

When I bought this, I thought, "I guess it will be good enough for the money. ". Not wanting to spend more, I did not want to buy anything else. That was a mistake I wish I hadn't made. After a month, the machine broke. I thought it was just one of the cables, but replaced it and still nothing happens. It seems a port on the KVM switch on the server has failed, which is disappointing since the port wasn't used but for plugging in the once upon initial setup. It is nice to have the button/remote feature on this unit, since it allows you to hide all the cables behind your desk and only have the button on top of your desk to do the switching. If this had lasted longer, I would have given it a five-star rating. If the seller does not replace, I hope he will.

All of the hardware works great with my HP Elitebook and LG Gram laptops, as well as the mouse, keyboard, and HDMI monitor. I had to adjust the speed of my mouse on the laptops because the pointer was too slow at first. It later became apparent that the issue was related to the mouse, so I swapped it for a wireless one. Made from thick and sturdy materials, this bag is well-made and well-built. Our system was not working for some of the features so we had to call tech support. There is about a second delay when switching between two computers, but it is not something I can avoid. I have a 34 inch curved wide screen with 3440 resolution, and I was somewhat concerned, but it works fine. It's not a big deal to me.
