Questions & Answers

You want 2 computers on 2 monitors, but can you have 1 computer on 1 monitor and another on the other?

You should look at buying a USB hub and a USB switch instead of an expensive KVM if this is your use case.

Do you know of a cable or adapter that would work with this product that converts HDMI to USB3?

My experience with RayCue and Insignia (Best Buy) adapters working with KVM computers is not troublesome, but I have used one from RayCue and one from Insignia without issue.

Is the device capable of handling a USB dynamic device mapping (DDM)?

Ports can be switched between USB and LAN. Despite the fact that I use two separate computers, I use the same Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. I am very happy with it.

What is the procedure for sharing a USB cable between a keyboard and a mouse? There is one key USB and one mouse USB plugged in, plus the stereo audio cable (so four connections), so where should the four cables go?

There is an individual port for the keyboard and mouse. There are also two additional ports for other USB devices. There are two other pots, one with cameras and one with speakers. There is no problem with switching between all four USB devices.

In this case, HDMI refers to not only how the ports look, but it also refers to the fact that the device actually only supports HDMI You can choose the resolution type. By the way, it does not support 1920x1200, which by the way is a standard computer resolution. I have even seen the device called "Digital Television" at my windows - Driver at the level.

There is only one paragraph in the entire user manual. Put your best guess on what the phrase means in that manual. It is possible to use the mouse and keyboard simultaneously between two monitors, operating two interface files at the same time". In addition, you can't have a separate computer connected to each monitor at the same time. This won't work. As soon as I connected my laptop to the device for the first time, it took about ten minutes for Windows to locate the appropriate drivers and install them. In the case of disconnecting the laptop (to go outside), then connecting it back again - I thought it was an error. It is the same procedure as before. The drivers need to be searched for, found, and installed within 10 minutes. I am the only one who feels this way. I would love this device if only it worked the way it is supposed to.

I'm satisfied with the results

The problem has been fixed, but the service no longer operates. When I initially purchased this product about eight months ago, some of how it worked with the resolution did require setup, but that was fine. The loud beep it makes could be switched off, which was great, because it is really annoying. After a few months, it started "randomly" disconnecting all of the USB peripherals I had attached to it I had to restart it again (which means I had to re-install everything I had previously installed) It may be necessary to change the resolution on my displays) to make the USB devices (keyboard/mouse) recognize A short time later, one or both of the monitors would turn off for a second or two and then turn back on again. If left unattended, it would behave that way for hours. Turning it off and back on did not always correct the problem. As if it were going away on its own. The situation will be resolved eventually, so I'm just going to cope Finally, as a cherry on top, the HDMI output for the 2nd screen does not work at all any more. My laptop was repositioned, unplugged everything to ensure the batteries were drained, and I left it untouched for an overnight period without power. The back of this was cleaned out like a Nintendo cartridge from the 1990s (q-) You can purchase alcohol and tips). It has been plugged into entirely different monitors and cables have been replaced with new ones, but there is no response. Despite of the fact that it still works for one monitor, even though it should be able to work with two for the price I paid. I'd give it a 0 star if I could since it's overpriced for the type of head-set it is. This has given me a lot of pain and eventually it stopped working for me. There is an old KVM in my system that has been working continuously since I see no reason for an.

A KVM should do what it is supposed to This product performs as advertised, however the cable was bad and took some time to figure out
5/5

Nevertheless, using the cable with a known good cable showed no abnormal pattern, and it worked as it should have. Update1 As for the KVM switch, it is still working flawlessly. Only some changes in cabling, and updated HDMI converters, required some adjustments. Two of my three computers are set up in 4K and my third is waiting for two new converters. As soon as they arrive, I hope to be able to get to full resolution. I have updated the post to include We are in the process of installing this KVM switch permanently. An issue started with one of the dual displays where I had been working with the other. There was no way I could get the PC to recognize it no matter what I did. A lot of cables and adapters have been swapped out after lots of testing. A bad 9 foot special HDMI/USB cable that I bought for my KVM project caused everything to go wrong. This is the second time the cable has failed. The reason I am reviewing this cable is that people are using the cable reviews to review KVM switches. In other words, the 2 monitor 4 PC CKL KVM is the AOB KVM. It can switch consistently and quickly if used with good cables. It gets 5 stars when used with cables that are not defective. Update

I am very happy with the KVM, it operates reliably. A little while ago, I discovered something. USB power supplies caused occasional problems and were marginal at best. To solve this problem, an alternative that can provide at least two amps should be used instead of the one that is supplied. There is more power when there is more current. When you connect additional devices to the USB port of the KVM, the current needed to run them will be larger and cannot be met by the USB power supply provided. In the case of the KVM, the power supply is just sufficient to power it.

Has worked for 30 days and now is causing a great deal of frustration
3/5

A lot of reviews convinced me to buy this product, and I've given it the benefit of the doubt that some pieces may be problematic. I needed a model that could control four of my computers, however, and this was one I could find. The package was delivered to me in February I have been using it for more than 30 days with no issues. I have noticed that my keyboard and mouse have been disconnected randomly from any of my four computers since a few days ago. Initially, I didn't even consider that the KVM might be the cause of my problem and tried troubleshooting my computers but that didn't work either. Eventually, I had to reboot the device, and then it started working once This isn't a big deal to me if I have to do it once in a while, but now I have to do it 20 times during the day, which is very irritating. March 31 was the last day I could return my item The return policy on Amazon says I cannot return this item, so as of yet I have not contacted Amazon customer service. Overall I can't say that this is a very good product or something that is well suited to professionals working in good 24x7 working environments. If you are looking for a reliable product then avoid buying this product and invest in a good KVM instead. I do not know if it is just a manufacturing issue with my device or if it is a general issue with the.
