br>I followed my own instructions, which I found to be effective: br>First and foremost, I have turned off my laptop (which runs Windows 10) My laptop will be turned off after that. br>After that, I plugged in the external CD driver to my laptop 3. I then turned off the USB port. br> I'm using my laptop right now. When I turned on my laptop, it immediately started reading the external CD driver, and the external CD driver icon appeared on the screen within seconds. br>And that's all there is to it! Using my laptop 3, I inserted my Wordperfect CD into the external CD driver and it downloaded extremely quickly. 0 USB port. br>So far, this external CD driver has not caused me any problems. br>Extremely simple to usebr>Fast Plug-In in & Playbr>Use 3 to download a CD faster. There are no USB ports available.
The cord storage in the back is a nice touch. Great! I usually use a desktop computer, but I recently purchased a new laptop that I hadn't used in years. I had overlooked the fact that it lacked a CD/DVD drive, so I went on the hunt for one. I don't listen to CDs very often and only watch DVDs on occasion, but I still need my computer to be able to play them- In particular, a laptop (for travel, etc. ). br>br>They all appear to be about the same price. I read through a number of product descriptions in search of one that appeared to do the job I needed it to do while also being compatible with my HP laptop. My laptop has a dual-core processor with a clock speed of 2. A 0 and a 3 are the only two possible outcomes. I only had one USB port, so when I saw that it was compatible with both, I decided to go with it. I also appreciated the fact that there was an alternative to black. I would have preferred a more vibrant color to set it apart from the rest of my electronics, but they do offer white as an option. I decided to decorate it with some bright and fun decal stickers, and the white background would help them stand out. br>br>Extremely simple to use. I simply plugged it in and tried both a CD and a DVD, both of which worked perfectly, and I adore how the USB cable tucks away underneath when not in use. The cord is 8"- 8" in length. 9" in diameter), and it is attached, but it is ideal for a laptop. Its slim profile allows it to be used in a variety of situations. If I want to, I can store it in an old CD holder case. Perfect. br>br>Thus far, everything has gone well; if anything changes, I'll let you know. I hope you found it useful. Keep in mind that:.
I didn't need or want Blu Ray, nor did I want to be limited to USB 2. There are no transfer rates. I haven't tried copying files to/from the device to test transfer rates, but I have no reason to doubt it at this point. br>br>It was a breeze to set up - a plug- That was a true and-play. It didn't even take a second for the system to recognize it, and it turned on as soon as I plugged it in. No one in my software has objected to it being used. In short, I wanted a simple, functional solution to my occasional need for an optical drive on my thin laptop that didn't require me to ramp up for a *project* to set it up. So I'm in a good mood. br>br>The only thing I'd point out is that the unit comes with a Type A USB cable (non-rechargeable). Because the removable) is only 8", you may want to add a USB 3. 0 port unless you have some space near your system's USB port. To your order, add a 0 extension cable (B083DGV46V or equivalent). Also, keep in mind that this external drive will need to be connected to a *powered* USB port, as the drive does not have a power supply.
It works great and is very simple to set up. On my MacBook Pro 2015, I use it. When I tried to play a Friends DVD at first, it said I needed to 'change the region' and wouldn't let me, but when I unplugged it and inserted a different DVD (The Chronicles of Narnia), it worked fine on both and hasn't asked me since. Is it possible that this is due to the fact that the Narnia DVD was made in the United States? Not sure. This could be a problem for some people, but it worked perfectly for me. Aside from that, everything is fantastic! Very durable and high-quality. There was no need for me to download anything; it just started playing on its own. Note: The disk is ejected from your computer's options rather than from the physical player.
I brought a CD home from work that contained some files, but this CD/DVD drive refused to read it. The only reason I bought this drive was to transfer files between my home and work computers; there is nothing wrong with the CD; I tried it on another drive and the files appeared right away. This drive is completely oblivious to the presence of a CD.
It's extremely light and portable. The USB port is built into the drive and can be tucked underneath it for storage. Because it's a short USB cable, you'll probably need to use an extension if you need to move the drive away from the computer for any reason. I don't need it, so the small cable suffices. The drive worked right away on both my MacBook Pro and my Windows 10 PC, without the need for any additional drivers or software. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be Because I don't need a burner, I didn't test the drive's writeable capabilities. I'm assuming that the write functionality will be the same as the rest of the program.
It was simple to operate. All I had to do was plug the USB into my computer, and the drive was immediately recognized. I purchased it with the intention of burning CDs using Windows Media Player. After plugging it in, Media Player recognized it, allowing me to insert a CD and burn the CD I desired. br>I haven't had the chance to use it as a DVD player yet, but that's not why I bought it, so I'm not too concerned about it. However, if it can play and burn CDs, I'm sure it can play and burn DVDs as well. br>br>I am extremely pleased with my purchase!.
