As a size 8, I wear a 10. It was slightly snug but will definitely stretch. I purchased the size 9/10 and it is definitely tight but will stretch. There was a problem with the height of the socks, as the ridge around the heel ended up just under my foot. They might stretch enough to allow my feet to slide forward, but I wouldn't like to take the chance of not being able to return them. However, I feel that even though the length is more appropriate, the 11/12 may be too loose.
While the soles of the boots are very sturdy, they do have some giving in them due to the woven uppers. In the event that they do not work out for you, you can return them very easily (I was buying them as a gift so I checked the return policy before purchasing, just in case) so if they don't work out, you can return them very easily.
After giving up on them, I gave up. The shoes became too floppy to walk in, and they became more and more difficult to wear!
Ideally, you'll need to wait at least six months. My home is furnished with slippers that I wear all the time. The slippers I ordered are my favorite among all the ones I ordered.

They're memory foam, so you have to wear them down a little and let them conform to your foot. Obviously everyone else wants to go a size bigger. But it wouldn't necessarily be a good idea for me to go a size up. Getting them used to takes a little bit of time! Despite that, it's incredibly comfortable, and I highly recommend it!.
