Honey, I have thunder thighs (think watermelon crushing thighs) and these fit perfectly because they don't go all the way up to the thighs and the tips have a way of fastening around my legs so they don't roll down. To give you an idea of my age, I'm five years old. 3" in height and 234 pounds in weight.
For thicc thighs, this is not a good idea. I'm a size 14, and they only came up to my knees, and getting them up that high was difficult. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're very thin.
They aren't silicone-free, but I had no trouble rolling them down. They were some of the most comfortable long socks I've ever owned.
This item was designed to be worn just below the knee. It was a bit of a squeeze. But they're great socks.

I love these stockings and can't think of anything wrong with them.
These over-the-knee socks, also known as "thigh highs," are my absolute favorite because they are socks! The fact that they aren't hosiery-like is fantastic. Because I am a 5'0" tall petite lady, these socks are essentially thigh highs for me. They can be used as over-the-knee socks if I fold them down. 2 in 1! score! for a petite lady br>Both pairs have the same pattern: 1 grey (wearing) and 1 black (not wearing). 1 black. The packaging is attractive, and I like that they used a metal clippy instead of the plastic ones, which can tear fabric if not handled carefully. The metal clip, in my opinion, was a nice finishing touch. Let's take a look at what else is available. I'm 5'10", with a thick calf and leg that fits a size 10 shoe. I had hoped that these would at least come to my knee as a knee sock, but they surprised me by going several inches past my knee. I can pull them up and cuff them to hit just behind my knee, so they were actually larger than I anticipated. I settled in nicely and stayed awake the entire day. They are fantastic!.
I weigh 88 pounds and stand 4 11'' tall. This pair of socks is extremely comfortable. These high socks run a little short, but they're long enough that it's not a problem (if they weren't long enough, this would be a problem).
They do go over my knee, but they roll down to just below it. Keep in mind that I have massive turkey/thunder thighs, so nothing will stand up to them, but the fact that I can wear them as knee socks without them rolling down my calf is a win in my book. They aren't at all thin, and they kept me toasty throughout the night. They look great with a school uniform, a "play" uniform, or just when you want to wear knee socks.
They're beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. The only reason I'm deducting a star is that I believe the photos are misleading; they show them staying up on their own while they constantly slip down. I got them to wear with a garter belt because I was worried that because they were cotton, they wouldn't stay up very well. However, if you expect them to stay awake for an extended period of time, you should reconsider. for the record, I am a 5'9" female, 160 lbs, with slim thighs that come up about eight inches above my knee, similar to the one in the photo. They're great socks, and if you have a garter belt, wear them with them. However, if you're looking for something that stays put and doesn't require much effort, I'd advise you to proceed with caution.
I have broad thighs and had previously ordered a size large from another brand (I checked American sizes). They wouldn't even pass my knee, which made me so angry! After reading the reviews, I decided to give them a try. They're incredible! They're super comfy and, while a little tight at the top, almost perfect; they'll be perfect for my cosplay and lounging.
