It is not hard like a pair of trousers from the 60s or 70s. While I thought my husband would have a problem with the flip flops, he did not have any issues.
I believe so! Despite fitting loosely and securely, they remain in place. This is a very comfortable chair!
I really don't know what size to order, but the only thing I can tell you is that I bought a half-size bigger because I don't like my heal almost hanging over the back of the shoe.

In order to improve the longevity of the shoe, they now have a slip through for the thong mechanism, which causes the shoe to tear constantly. They have only been with me a couple of weeks and are already tearing. As bulkier as a croc clod hopper, these have a smaller opening. There is a half size difference in length between two sizes. The sizes are about an 81/2 for someone who is a true 8. The Crocs don't offer half sizes so I'll have to settle for what's available. There are no issues with the width. The fit feels comfortable to me and I am an average width. A tight but not too loose fit is best. A wider foot would be a good match for this flip flop. There is no doubt about the color, as it runs a half size larger, and it's the type of flip flop for wider feet, not the only kind. Flip flops that look gardening, that's what they look like to me. That might be a good use for them.

It feels thinner, the plastic is harder, and the tops of the heels are ridged, which makes my foot uncomfortable, plus they're way too wide for me. This shoes have the flat tab on the bottom of the footbed that pokes through the bottom of the shoe - I was not pleased with that. The kind I bought at the dollar store reminded me of it.
