Questions & Answers

When it comes to ice and/or snow, how well do these boots perform? Is it grippy? Is it slippery?

I love the word grippy! My husband does too! They perform well in snow and ice. The material is warm.

Have any of you worn these for a substantial period of time in water? I am wondering if the neoprene area is waterproof. ?

They can be kept dry, like a dry suit, by the neoprene uppers. a neoprene upper over a rubber upper is that it is lighter, cooler, more flexible, and more If you are careful, you don't have to worry about tearing it, but it does an amazing job of keeping out water or snow.

Fits your normal size or do you need to choose a smaller or larger ?

It fits perfectly with regular weight socks in my usual size (men's 12M). Even heavier socks would fit in my case, so I'll be okay. The rubber in it stretches somewhat since it's a natural material.

Can these be used in snake-proof situations?

There is a lot of material in it. I doubt that most snakes could penetrate it with their fangs. They are not snakeproof, but it is doubtful that they would be termed as such.

MUCK BOOT DOES NOT STAND BY ITS FAILED PRODUCT! May I submit a NO STARS review? This is the last pair of Muck Boots I ever own I need nuts for my hoops After nearly eight years of heavy winter use, it still appears to be in excellent condition
3/5

The old Mucks that I was wearing finally let me down. Two years ago I received a pair of Edgewater Boots as a holiday gift. In the beginning, I was very pleased with Edgewaters. I found them to be more comfortable than my old black Hosers, but the rubber (or whatever it is) on the top of my foot didn't seem quite as supple. During the 4 months I wore them last year, they were fine. In the fall of last year when I took the Edgewaters out of my closet, I noticed the rubber had begun to crack just as the Hosers did after many years of service. Within a month, the cracks had turned into splits and the Edgewaters began to leak. It was only after four months of use that I discovered it in my closet after being stored for months. It was not necessary to leave them outside or expose them to the The first sign of leaks was when I walked through wet grass, just like I have seen in other reviews. I have worn Hosers for many years, so I did not worry about my feet getting wet crossing creeks and wading through mud, but the Edgewater boots proved useless One of the most disappointing parts of my experience is that the Muck Boot Company did not stand behind its product. Both times, I contacted them by email last fall when the boots first failed, fully expecting a new pair of boots to arrive. When I did not receive a response, I called their so-called customer service I called Customer Service and was promised a form but never received it. During my third call with Customer Service, I was told that Muck actually does not handle its own warranties, but will send me a Honeywell warranty form. Please visit www. com. As directed, I attached several photos. However, I did not receive a response, even after following up with a follow-up email You'll need to follow up by There's no way I can do anything I don't have to I have been a customer of Muck boots for many years and will never purchase another pair from them again. A Muck Boot can be pricey, but a Muck Boot that looks like an Edgewater boot isn't worth it. This is made worse by Muck's poor customer service and failure to stand by its product. It is unlikely I will ever purchase another Muck Boot Product, and I will make sure everyone I know knows about it In the future, I will warn others who might do the same Share my experience with Muck so that more people will become customers. As an aside, I just love my new Bogs and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Footwear from Bogs. The Internet.

In the fall, I spent a day in the wetlands
5/5

In the fall, these were just right and I am not sure how warm they will be in the winter. My jeans fit perfectly over the neoprene leg, so I could pull it over without having to adjust. There are no skinny calves on me, and I can wear these Wearing them with a boot cut jean would be a bit strange for me I would prefer a tapered jean. After wearing them for only a few hours on the first day, I didn't notice the discomfort that comes with breaking in a new pair of boots. There were only two of us who made it out of the prairie and wetlands without chigger bites, and each of us wore My normal size for women's clothing is a 10. There is only one size available for these, and it is for men. There was a size guide that told me that my men's size is 9 and this size recommendation The fit is a bit wider, but not in an uncomfortably wide way. The extra room will make dense, heavy wool socks an easy addition to thick socks when it gets very cold. They arrived on a day when it was raining, so I stood in a 3-tiered construction site For leak testing, place a 4" puddle under the device and let it soak for several minutes. My experiences so far with them have ranged from 40 degrees to 60 degrees Their comfort level was high in the 1980s. Compared to the Bogs, these seem more lively and robust than the Bogs, which look too frilly (frilly patterns) to work in the field. I think the green color on the picture looks very close to what it is in the real world.

This is the absolute best boot for people who work outside! In 2008, I bought these boots, and they have kept my feet dry through mud, rain, snow, floods, and swamps ever since
5/5

Working on horse farms in all the crazy weather we have had for the past 6 years, I've relied on them consistently. They have been used by me at least four times over the years The walk took place at least five times each week, and in the winter it was in a deep snow field every day. You will not be able to beat them if you work in muddy conditions or in the presence of high water. When it's cold, they're great, but you'll have to wear thick socks and either hand warmers or heat reflectors to keep your feet nice and Although the bottom is rubber, it will not keep your feet warm without additional layers, even though it is always waterproof! When I work outdoors, I wear thick stockings with heavy duty socks and leg warmers so that my feet remain warm for at least eight hours. Furthermore, there is no need to wear studs when you skate on ice! I learned that quickly, but as long as you pay attention to your step and are strong, you can skate without studs. I switch to my fleece lined boots when the temperature drops below 20 degrees. I've been stepped on a variety of times by horses of different sizes, from a Percheron to a pony, and never felt a thing. We need to get a new pair because the bottom sole of the right boot has separated from the Getting these boots for $100 is a great deal, especially since they are guaranteed to last at least another 5 years. As of last time, I was wearing an 8, but I usually wear a 9. The score in shoes is 5/9. Summer is too hot for them to wear all that bundling, so they are a bit large. Get the real thing by spending the money up front. The long-term benefit is that you save money.

It's great to have a boot like this
5/5

It's great to have a boot like this. It was the first time I had put them on and I spent most of the first day slopping through flooded creeks and muddy pastures mending fences. By the end of the day, my socks had dried perfectly, and the boots were very comfortable. As per other reviews, I originally ordered a larger size than my normal size, but I had to send them back as they were too large. My normal shoe size is a women's size 7, and I usually wear two pairs of socks with my.

This is a pair of boots that are truly impressive in terms of performance
5/5

Although I was advised to use regular hiking boots for a caving trip, because most of the second leg of the trip was spent in water at 52 degrees, I chose these boots anyway. I am glad I did. These boots performed well beyond great There was no water in the opening until the water level reached above my knee and the water grip was perfect from toe tip to heal This occurs naturally and is to be I found these boots to be interesting because they had a high insulation value. The water didn't make my feet any warmer even after they got wet. It was true that I was skeptic about their performance and worried that I had made a wrong choice for my son and me, but by the time our hike was over, most of our group wished they had brought.
