There is no way it isn't 925 sterling because I've worn it day and night (including in the shower) and it still looks the same as it did when it was newly received. The size of this item needs to be checked. My biggest necklace measured about an inch around my neck, which is what a normal necklace should be like. They are closer to choker-type necklaces in the smaller sizes. I find this extremely delicate and thin. If snagged on something, I am sure it would easily break. Moreover, it is very light, so it does come across as I would say that the color is bright too, probably because of that. The necklace I wear most often is this one. This is a piece I usually wear every single day. Due to its versatility, it has yet to show signs of tarnish despite being used all day for many years. A brief update I purchased a second one after I was so satisfied with the first! In my dream world, the cross would be available in rose gold because I adore the placement of it.
