My requested size is a true 8 I ordered it. There is a high arch on a 5. Whether you order too large or too small, the heel will definitely slide off your foot. There is only one thing you can do if you need a narrow shoe, and that is to add an insole.
The amount of difference isn't great. My only problem is that I find it hard to find shoes that fit - I usually struggle to find shoes that make me feel comfortable.
The width of the shoe for women is either B or M, which means that it is medium size width. For B or M in Women's Shoes, it indicates the shoe is medium wide, not thin or wide. M or B describe a shoe as medium wide in either case. This only applies to shoes for women.
The shoes fit as expected, but if you have a wide foot you may need to size up 1/2 size.

I like this shoe because it's very comfortable and the size is right. There is a design problem with this. Despite the shoe being made entirely of synthetic materials, it has an insole that has not been treated to retard the growth of bacteria. This leads to sweat and dirt getting trapped inside the shoe and under the insole very quickly. When a shoe is worn for a long time, its odor will sink into the synthetic fibers and hollow chambers. The surface begins to smell after a while, and is very difficult This process deteriorates the shoe. Frequent washing is helpful, but it can lead to a loss of comfort. I've tried several pairs of shoes and find that the best wear is to keep the shoes dry and Usually, I do not suffer from foot odor, but after wearing this pair in wet grass, the shoe developed a stench and had to be thrown away.
How can you not enjoy it when your favorite shoe manufacturer updates its product, while retiring its previous models? I would never wear this without socks. They are so stiff you shouldn't even think about it. If you wear socks, you might even get blisters. The foot is cramped and does not stretch. My theory on why people are rating these high is that Skechers changed up the materials to save $$, but kept the name. Memory foam is either thinner or of a lower quality than in the past. Very very flat, no arch support and may experience foot tendon strains. Additionally, the tong has been enlarging, so you have to bend down to get the shoe on, so it's not so much a slip-on as it is a lace-up shoe. This is awful. Would anyone be able to recommend a shoemaker that makes the old-style soft and thick foam slip-ons?.

I FINALLY FOUND A SHOE THAT FIT! In gray, I ordered these first, then I ordered them in black once I loved them. The shoe I bought had to be easy to slip on and off, as I am 76 years old.
