They were my go-to shoes for all day wear in the 90's and early 2000's. There were two pairs of my shoes that lasted about four years each. These saddles were made from high quality leather and became even more beautiful when they were aged and saddle soap was used. At about half the price of the shoes I purchased back then, these shoes are also about half the quality. In the case of leather, it has been bonded. My Amazon records indicate that I bought these in August 2013, and I have been wearing them pretty much every day since then. The shoes have held up really well over the past two years, and with a bit of a polish, you wouldn't guess they was worn regularly for the past two years It has been 1/2 year! Since I walk a lot, it's essential for me Every day, I walk between 2 and 5 miles as I go to and from work, school, the grocery store, and aimless wandering. Since I walk on the outsides of my feet, quite a bit of uneven wear has developed on the heels of these shoes and I'll probably need to purchase a couple more of them within the next six months as part of the sole has begun to wear through. I ordered the UK 8 since I normally wear a US 10, and they fit well with thicker socks, but they are a little loose when worn The idea of wearing these without socks or knit tights is just unacceptable to me because they just look and feel strange It is very easy to get on and off these, so they've only been unbuckled a few times, and the heels are only now showing a little wear from pulling them over the top of the foot. Whether you wear them with jeans or business casual, skirts with knit tights or with skirts and a blouse, these pants will look great. Reading the reviews prior to ordering these shoes made me so glad I did. For ten years, I have been wearing Docs, and I have been a UK5/US7 every time. After reading many reviews indicating that this is the best size, I ordered a UK4/US6. There is a break-in period for any new leather shoe, but these haven't been as uncomfortable as all the other reviews have said. The only thing I have worn with these shoes are thin socks. It is a little challenging to buckle the belt, but not impossible. It is all in all a cute, comfortable pair of A pair of shoes will be a great purchase if you are thinking about getting one.
