I have taken this from the archives. It was originally designed as a workman's coat for American workers in 1925, and was discontinued in 1982. In all its glory, the 91J is back large front pockets, brand snap buttons, reinforced sleeves, and triple-needle stitching provide a contemporary workwear feel.

Great, but it irritates me

A chore coat that can take a little beating is a good choice if you intend to use it in the field. Those pockets are great. Thanks for providing them. Pockets are essential for women as well! As a customer, I think there should either be side splits at the bottom seam or a short back vent At the end of the day, it's a work coat. The buttons are also on the right side, like on a jacket for a man. I think it's not too hard to create uniform style guidelines for women's clothes if it is made for men, but it is made for women and I think it can be done as long as it's designed.

BUT it was too long for me

There are no darts in the back of the jacket, so it's very wide and stiff in the back of the chest and waist area. The jacket is long enough to reach my hips, and the overall look is great in the front. My office may be able to help me with that. I hope this jacket will soften up after several washings since it is heavy and stiff.

I am very pleased with how well made it is, and it An older woman standing five feet and twelve inches tall, I have brown hair and blue eyes The length is now at the thigh after 15 extra pounds of Covid. If I have time, I can finish the job with plenty of space It's a great jacket to wear in the spring or autumn. Size medium is what I purchased.

You've got pockets! It's ideal for late fall through early spring in Florida, and for restaurants that keep their air conditioning on all year round. To wear with casual dresses, I bought the light denim. A bought a second one in dark denim after liking it so much. On shirts, I wear a medium or large size, but on jackets, I usually order a size larger. I find that the XL is a perfect fit for me, and the length is perfectly appropriate.

My broad shoulders made this jacket perfect for me. The seams are very well sewn. The cloth looks like the 60's, with the added flexibility of today's fabrics. I have met my new gardening partner, pockets galore. This is the perfect jacket for a cool, breezy day.
