I adore this jacket; it fits perfectly and is extremely light. It's not a packable jacket by design, but it's light enough to fold up small and compactly.
The hood, unfortunately, does not detach.
When it rained, water rolled off, but I'm not convinced it's completely waterproof. I hope this information is useful.

THIS JACKET MAKES ME SO HAPPY! It did fit me a little bigger than I expected, but that was because I ordered a medium rather than a small (I'm 5'3'' and weigh 125 pounds). This jacket continues to make me happy. Despite the fact that it is light as a windbreaker, it is warm. It's easy to layer another sweater underneath and it won't look out of place, which is a plus. Rain simply rolls off the roof, making the scene even more beautiful than it appears in these photos! It's well worth the money! I would strongly advise it!.
This jacket is very light and has a mesh lining (sleeves and all). It resembles a windbreaker in appearance. It is, however, quite warm and resistant to water. Because I am a woman, I was unsure how "junior" sizes would fit, but it fits perfectly. I ordered a medium because I am 5'10" and 135 lbs. The sleeves are long enough, and the fit isn't as tight as it appears in the photo. I can wear a hoodie underneath, and it nicely covers my waist and hips. I'm very pleased with the quality.
I've never worn a jacket while driving because I've always felt restricted, but this one is a nice weight, not too thin, and not confining while driving and wearing a seatbelt. The jacket is not a true black; in fact, I checked the tag to see if I had been sent a dark grey version instead. The fact that it isn't as dark is actually a plus for me. Every day since it arrived, I've reached for this jacket.
This windbreaker/light rain jacket is fantastic.
This jacket is absolutely stunning! It's good for a brisk day; I'm not sure how warm it would keep me in cold weather, and I haven't worn it in the rain so I can't say if it's waterproof; however, it's flattering and looks better on than the picture suggests.
