Questions & Answers

I'm curious about the length of this jacket. ?

I'm 5'4" and ordered a medium, which measures 32" from shoulder to hem.

Is it possible to wash this coat in the machine?

Yes. I have a few Columbia parkas that I wash in the machine and dry on low heat.

Is it possible to wear this jacket in New York during the winter (late December/early January)?

Yes, with the exception of extremely cold days, when I wear a heavier Columbia jacket. If you have good layering options, however, you may not need a heavier one.

Is there a zipper that opens both ways? Is it warm enough to keep you warm in Wisconsin during the winter?

Yes, there are two zippers on it. It's not fluffy, but it's toasty. (As I don't live that far north, I'm not sure if Wisconsin is hot enough.) ) However, it keeps me toasty warm, and I adore it.

This jacket is absolutely stunning! This jacket is absolutely stunning! There are a few things to keep in mind about this jacket, as well as some differences when compared to the Mighty Lite jacket
5/5

To begin with, this one is thicker and warmer. I put both on for ten minutes and noticed a difference. Also, unlike the mighty lite, this one has a padded hood, which should help it stay up better. The fit comes in second. I ordered the XL and 1XL (I'm a size 14 with a 38DDD chest) and the XL fit but was a little too tight in the chest, so I'm keeping the larger size because I like the cut better. The mighty lite, on the other hand, is straight down; this one is more tailored, with a little more flare on the bottom half and a bottom that does not feel uncomfortable when you sit. It's designed for people who don't have a lot of experience with computers. Women, in my opinion, should be drawn as stick figures. The Columbia size chart is accurate; measure yourself and, if you're in the middle of a size for any of the measurements, go up a size. Overall, I think this jacket is fantastic and I don't think you'll be disappointed with it!.

After a long search for the perfect winter coat, we've finally found it! I placed an order for 11 a
5/5

m. and received it at 11 p. m. Down coats of various lengths from retailers such as Lands' End, Eddie Bauer, and L. BEFORE FINDING THIS COLUMBIA JACKET, I shopped at Bean this fall. My go-to spot is Lands' End. I went to for quality petite winter coats, but none of their options this year satisfied me. Bean makes some fantastic coats, but due to a lack of petite sizes, the sleeves were too long and none of the styles could accommodate a cuff. In most cases, I can get away with rolling or cuffing the sleeves, but a down coat is an exception. br>br>PROSbr>*gorgeous color (I went with Nordic Green)br>*nice mid-range price - weight of the range warm, but not overbearing; br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b Covers your assets while maintaining a streamlined appearancebr>*double-click to enlarge* The main zipper has been extended to allow for adjustments so that you can wear it while driving or sitting. br>*thumb-up cuffs with a hole: soft and stretchy, light enough to tuck back into sleeves or wear under gloves, subtle gray colorbr>*soft fleece hood lining (gray) and pockets liningbr>*unexpectedly cuff-style cuffsbr> able! 75 in. a range of sleeve lengths without jeopardizing the thumb-hole hole inner cuffsbr>*When fully zipped, the neck sits perfectly under my chin instead of being half-zipped awkwardly. Like many other coats, it covers my face and gets makeup all over itself. br>br>POTENTIAL CONS (minor - I'm being picky)br>*astonishingly bright metallic liner that looks like foil (but isn't) - This was more of a surprise to me than an ongoing complaint because you don't see the liner when it's zipped and only a little when it's unzipped due to the close fitbr>*main front zipper quality is functional, but I would have preferred a more refined finish to the pullsbr>*I would have preferred both snaps and zipper or snaps onlybr>*hood is not adjustable (not much of a CON for me because I don't use the It's a fantastic all-around game. If you have short arms, this coat is a dream come true!.

Is this the PERFECT Winter Coat that I've been searching for? Yes, I did!! It's both attractive and cozy
5/5

Thumb holes are everywhere! Columbia knows how to dress curvy women, though I do believe the sizing is a little small. I had gained some weight and would no longer be able to fit into my old Columbia coat, which was admittedly tight when I purchased it. I ordered a 2X and it's perfect. I even have some space in my hips. It also has adorable thumb holes in the extended sleeves! So cute! I can't comment on waterproofing or warmth, but it appears to be of the same high quality as the rest of my Columbia winter gear. To give you an idea of my size, I'm 245, 5'7", and pear-shaped. I really like the length and shape of this dress.

It was a wise decision
5/5

This jacket was purchased for use in the Arctic Circle and Siberia, Russia. I wouldn't have been able to live comfortably without it. I did need to layer it with a windproof jacket, so I'm glad I went up a size. It was a hit with me, and I'll be wearing it all winter in Indiana. It got me through a chilly day on a commercial crab fishing boat in the Berents Sea, as seen in the photo above. I went out of my way to find a longer jacket that would provide more protection. The length is ideal.

Coat is ideal for the winter
5/5

Columbia has never let me down. This coat is roomy enough that the zipper doesn't pull apart when you sit in it, even though I'm a solid 3x, size 24 jeans gal. The length hits a few inches above my knee and covers my hips completely. I'm 5'11" and the length hits a few inches above my knee. It's kept me toasty so far, and there's plenty of room to layer underneath if the temperature drops even further.

Cozy, comfortable, and stylish are all words that come to mind when thinking of this room
5/5

I've had this coat for the entire winter and it's been fantastic. The diagonal pattern is more slimming than a lot of other patterns, and I just love how comfortable it is. I think it adapts to your temperature because I can wear it when it's 45 degrees or 0 degrees and it still works, which is exactly what you need in the Midwest. The arm holes in the sleeves are also useful on windy days. The only drawback to this coat is that the hood is quite large, so it falls down occasionally when I put it up, but I've solved this by wearing ear muffs. However, because this is more of a lightweight winter coat, you wouldn't want to wear it in temperatures below 0°F.

My favorite coat for the winter
5/5

I'm in love with this coat. When it was - in Chicago, I wore it. I was pretty warm at 10 a. m. before the windchill. It's light and simple to move around in.

This coat is absolutely stunning

I wasn't sure if this would keep me warm enough because I'm used to wearing heavy, thick coats, but it does. I live in Michigan, where the winters are bitterly cold and snowy. This coat is absolutely stunning.
