Questions & Answers
Yes, I believe that is correct.
I used to have a big woman's body.
The product is not fitted; it is most likely true to size. I ordered a medium, and I normally wear a small. I wanted to be able to layer, so the vest had extra room in the arm sleeves and is a little big in the hips. I'm 5'8" tall and weigh around 130 lbs.

For a variety of reasons, I preferred this vest to others. One- It's less expensive than other brands but still of good quality, and it comes with two bonuses: one- The fact that it wasn't made of a gleaming material appealed to me. My normal size is a medium, and this medium is perfect for me. It's a little long, but it'll keep you warm in the winter. I live in California, so it's never really cold here, but I went to Yosemite in November and only wore a thermal and a vest, which was plenty warm. It's also super cute paired with a pair of workout pants or jeans.
I was hesitant to order this in a size XS because it was nearly $40 cheaper than the other sizes (which I still don't understand why Amazon does). In any case, it's a perfect fit for me, and I'm overjoyed. To put things in perspective, I am 5'4" tall and weigh 116 pounds. I usually wear a size 4 shoe. 6 and S- I'm usually a size M, so this XS was a gamble, but I can still wear it with a sweater underneath. I'd been putting off ordering a vest for years, always putting it off until the end of the fall season. I decided to splurge this year. br>br>I believe I saw it mentioned in a review here, but the zipper has a cloth material at the top to cover it so it doesn't scratch your neck/chin, and I like the fleece lining around the neck as well. I can comfortably fit my iPhone with a bulky otterbox in the pockets (hey, my iPhone has no cracks despite constant dropping!). ) and still have room for car keys or something similar. br>br>I already know we'll be best friends. I just can't seem to put on any weight. 🤣.
It's matte, long enough to skim my hips as a tall woman, and has plenty of pockets (unlike most women's clothing, which has tiny or fake pockets). Furthermore, the stitching is in a very flattering design, the puffiness is moderate, and the omniheat technology is warmer than down! I used the Columbia website's measurement guide and my vest fits perfectly; unlike some other reviews, I had no issues with sizing. What a fantastic item!!.
The collar of this vest lays flat, which is one of my favorite features. It's extremely flattering and comfortable! I had purchased another vest that was significantly more expensive and supposedly of higher quality, but I am returning it because one side of the collar sticks up on the other, this one fits much better, is warmer, and I simply prefer it. It really does warm you up, as I was getting warm just taking the picture in it! I am 5'6" tall and weigh 175 pounds, so I ordered a large. It's just right!.
I used to own a Columbia mighty lite vest, but it was discontinued. Due to conflicting reviews, I have been hesitant to purchase the heavenly. Well, a reasonable price persuaded me to take the plunge and buy the olive green. Why are there so many negative reviews for this vest? It's fantastic! Not as puffy as the mighty lite, but slightly more so. I love the omni heat feature; it comes in handy in our cold Minnesota winters. The soft collar is also a nice feature, which some people have criticized as a flaw, but I disagree. I'm 5'10" and can fit into a medium or large size. I have a 36-inch bust and a 30-inch waist, so I went with my usual large in vests, which fits perfectly! I could get away with a medium, but it would be more fitted and I wouldn't be able to layer sweatshirts underneath it. For this reason, I dislike having my vests fitted. In terms of color, depending on the lighting and what you're wearing, the olive green can appear olive or brown. It's a fantastic color, and I'm so pleased with this vest that I'm considering purchasing another!.
As a result, I'm completely perplexed by the sizing. br>At first, I ordered a 2x because I thought I'd need more room when layering. Even with a hoodie and arm holes (HUGE), the 2x still has a lot of room. br>So I ordered a 1x, which fits snugly with a light layer underneath. I mean, it's snug around the chest and tummy, and the arm holes are perfect. br>However, I'm not sure how to size this. I usually wear a size 16 xlarge. I have a 42D chest and can wear a t-shirt and a thin layer zip-up on the 1x and feel snug as a swaddled baby. br>I wish the sizing had been more accurate. br>Because it's a ladies' style, I prefer the contour fit. br>I'm waiting for the Columbia puffer jacket to arrive so I can see how they fit together before returning one (I'm leaning toward keeping the 1x).
The weather is generally pleasant throughout the year. This vest has held up well in temperatures as low as 40 degrees and as high as 65 degrees. I am 5'8" and 120 pounds, and the small is a good fit for me. Underlayers such as thick sweaters and jackets can be worn, but they should not be too baggy.
My height is 5'4" and my waist size is 38DD. In sweaters, I usually go for a large, and in winter vests, I go for an XL to accommodate my base layers and bulky sweaters. Considering how thin and light the vest is, it's surprisingly warm. The Omni heat system appears to be quite effective. The collar is on the taller side, the fleece is soft and warm, and most importantly, it stands far enough away from your face to provide you with both protection and breathing room. This vest is form-fitting, with a waistband that cinches in and a hip that flares out. It's a little too wide around the hips for me (I'm pretty straight), but it's perfect for hourglass or pear-shaped women. I wouldn't size up for my purposes because I'll be wearing it over layers and bulky sweaters, but I do wish it was a little boxier, which I think looks better. It's longer than any other vest I own, which I suppose keeps you warmer around the hips and buttocks, but it's extremely inconvenient when I sit with it zipped up. It bends and folds. My legs appear shorter as a result of it. I don't have a short torso, so I don't like how long it is. That being said, it meets my requirements, and I paid $64 for it after spotting a price drop. If you plan to layer it over a tighter turtleneck or long sleeve, such as if you're going hiking, and you're a taller woman (5'7"), this would be an ideal, flattering, and streamlined vest for you.
