Questions & Answers
It truly depends on the size and shape of your lips. The 10mm is the safest bet because you know it will be large enough to not irritate your lips, but the 8mm will fit snugly if your lips allow it. Choose the 10mm if your upper lip is particularly full.
Personally, I'd go with a ten because the eight would be too small for my piercing. I have a 12 that I can still flip, so a 10 should be easy to flip.

My original septum horseshoe jewelry broke (the ball became loose and fell off without my knowledge), so I've been looking for replacements for a while. br>br>Sizing has been a bit of a trial and error process (sigh). The majority of piercers use 16g, 8mm dia jewelry, but I had to learn the hard way by buying, realizing, and then searching again. I got it in the end and discovered these. Any random company you find on Amazon is always risky because the reviews aren't always reliable. I usually look at the price and see if there are any major flaws in the material, such as the jewelry falling apart easily. br>br>I definitely took a chance on these, and I'm happy with the results so far. The 8mm set was purchased by me. Although silver is not my favorite color (I prefer black or gold), I enjoy the variety of balls/points (2mm ends, perfect size for me). br>br>Because I have a small nose, the 8mm fits me and my style perfectly, whereas the 6mm looks ridiculous and strange on me. 6mm dia jewelry sits too close to the bottom of my columella for me, and I don't like the 'hint' of it peeking out of my nose, as if I have something strange hanging out of my nose. Anyway, I'm the proud owner of the gold horseshoe with balls. The gold is a little too gleaming at the moment, but that will fade as I use it. The ball was difficult to put on and take off, but that's fine with me because it means the ball won't fall out once I've screwed it in tight. It went in without a hitch, and there were no breakouts or irritations to speak of. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with this set and appreciate the variety of options as well as the ease with which I can switch it out whenever I want.
I ordered the 8mm the first time and it was too small, so I ordered the 10mm and will be returning the 8mm. br>They're pretty good for variety; the speckled ones just look like clear balls because the speckles aren't visible because the balls are so small. But it's all right in the end! br>br>Pictures is an 8mm vs. a 10mm camera.
Definitely not 16g, more like 10 or 12br>The bearings are extremely difficult to removebr>br>Definitely not septum nose rings, more like ear cuffsbr>br>.
It's a little difficult to keep track of balls. For me, this is the ideal size. I like how they're a little smaller than the standard size and how easy they are to get into. The balls are a little tricky to put on and take some time; I had to use jewelry pliers to do it. However, there are no issues other than that. I also enjoy the variety of colors.
To be honest, it was a lot more comfortable than I had anticipated! My piercer's jewelry was too small for my nose, so I ordered these in the hopes that they would be larger, which they were. It's a plus that the balls haven't unscrewed on me.
Although they appear to fit well, the balls do not stay in place.
Very pretty, but wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too small for my Not a good idea. I'm feeling a little down in the dumps. The ones I use are on the left side, which is small, and the ones on the right side are large.
When I tried to twist the plastic ball on, it broke into pieces. Take care! Because they're so cute, I really wish they didn't break so easily. So, if you want to keep them, make sure to twist them on with a light hand.
