It all depends on how much time passes between 0 and 00. Massage your ears after a couple of months. It didn't work for me, so I had to get a 9mm taper before I could go to a 00.
Actually, these are right in the middle of a 0 and a 00 guage; I used them as a stopgap after I got to a 0 and was working my way up to the 00; it made things a lot easier.

The product was packaged nicely, though not in plastic, which I found unusual. Before I use any jewelry I buy anywhere, I always clean and inspect it. I noticed rust and "buildup" on the insides of BOTH tunnels during my inspection. I drew a q-shaped diagram using a q-shaped diagram. Using a tip and alcohol to swab the inside, it came out red and resembled BLOOD. I'm disgusted because I believe these were previously used and that someone attempted to clean and resell them. I'm so glad I double-check everything. So gross.
If you're stretching your ears from a 0 to a 00, you're doing it right. These are a must-have! I was able to quickly install the tapers. It was a little unsettling, but not nearly as much as going from a 0 to a 00. I would strongly suggest it.
I'm going from a 0g/8mm to a 00g/10mm size. I've had my 0g for a few years, but I didn't want to go up in size too quickly and ruin my ears. I was told by a professional piercer that I could go up half a size just to be safe. 9mm is difficult to come by, but Amazon had some on hand! I had no trouble putting these in, but the rubber ring on the back was a bit of a challenge. These are fantastic in general. The taper is substantial, but not excessively so. They appeared to be larger than I expected, so I compared them to the 00g/10m silicone tunnels I also bought from Amazon (from a different company), and they appear to be the same size (the package actually says 00g/9mm). So I'm assuming it's either a typo or that they're actually 00g/10m. Who knows what will happen! In any case, I'm going to keep these on until I can get some more 00g/10mm. Maybe those will be a piece of cake as well. br>br>The first photo shows the small bag in which the tunnels and tapers were stored. The sizing is 00g/9mm, as you can see. The flat end of the taper is compared to the 10mm silicone pair in the second photo. I gave them three stars because they're either 9mm, which is a misprint, or 10mm, which is also a misprint. If these are 10mm, someone who hasn't had their 8mm as long as I have might not have been able to put them in as easily, defeating the purpose of getting a 9mm rather than going straight for 10mm. Perhaps they didn't have a gauge size for 9mm and used 00g instead. IDK.
I've had my lobes at 0g for the past two years and was having trouble getting them to 00g. In order to avoid blowing out my lobes (yes, I'm aware of what I'm doing), I purchased the 9mm taper, which is in the middle of the 0g and 00g range and was a perfect fit. I'll probably hold off on trying to get the 00g in for a while, but this will make the transition much easier. Who'd have guessed there were sizes in between the standard ones?.
After reading some reviews, I was concerned that they wouldn't be the right size, or that they would be dirty, etc. Despite my reservations, I ordered them anyway, and I'm glad I did. They were accurate in size and were spotless. Even if they weren't clean, rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab will fix them, but these arrived brand new, and after measuring with my other gauges and a mm ruler, I discovered they were true to size, so I highly recommend getting these instead of risking blowing out your earls by switching to a 00g. If you don't want to use tape to stretch or just want assistance from a taper to get to 00g, these slipped in easily and comfortably and got me to the next size quickly.
If you're trying to get from 0g to 00g, this is a must-have tool. Will undoubtedly save your ears from tearing or blowing out. I didn't leave it in for more than 24 hours. I had no trouble fitting my 00G in! It was also a plus that it was made of stainless steel.
It has some weight to it, which allows your ear to stretch naturally. Half sizes are a godsend, because once the sizing jumps from 1mm stretches to 2mm, my ears can't take it anymore. I lubricated it with squalane oil and it stretched my ear so easily that I put it in and it fell out the other side! The plugs are also very helpful, and I have had no issues with the O-rings. They felt safe with the rings on their hands.
between the two sizes.
