As a stopgap measure, you can purchase 1g glass plugs online. Alternatively, you can start taping with PTFE tape; there are plenty of how-to videos on YouTube. I'm taping at 2g rn right now, and it's going really well.
I usually left the taper in for a few minutes after stretching before inserting the tunnel. I would leave the taper in for about a day before inserting the tunnels if the stretch was too painful or my ear swelled. I'm on day 2 of 2g rn and haven't had any blowouts or infections yet! best of luck You can also find a lot of helpful stretching advice on YouTube.
Yes, each size is packaged in its own bag with a size label.
Hollow didn't use them at all, instead opting for glass single flair plugs, which are ideal for stretching.

The first thing that irritates me is that they are far too short; if your lobe swells *at all* or you have naturally thick lobes, there's almost no room for the bands, and they easily pop off, especially at night, because they're so heavy. br>br>The second issue is that the bands seem to break easily and don't have as much stretch as other brands, forcing you to scavenge from other brands. (Before I gave up, two of them broke for me. ) br>br>I was fortunate enough to come across some old black plastic ones that are significantly longer and lighter. For me, this was a complete waste of money.
When it comes to piercings, SS is always preferable to plastic or acrylic, so this set is fantastic. But there are a couple of problems. 1) On the smaller sizes, the little rubber bands that hold the plugs in are INCREDIBLY difficult to use. My wife had to assist me in putting them on and taking them off (despite the fact that they kept falling off on their own). 2) Even before it has been opened, the oil bottle leaks. As a result, make sure it's in its own bag and that it's sitting upright. You have a mess on your hands if you turn that baby over (or, God forbid, upside down).
They're paired up, and their sizes are clearly labeled. So far, I'm a fan of the oil. However, it got past the seal in some way. To be clear, the seal was not broken, but the plastic bag did contain some oil. Ironically, I had trouble getting the oil to come out of the plastic insert at first; it took a lot of shaking (like a traditional ketchup bottle) before it started working. Overall, I'm very pleased with these and would purchase them again!.
It's a nice kit, but I wish there were more "in between" sizes, especially as you get bigger. My ears are extremely sensitive and easily irritated, so it's great that the ceramic material used in their construction hasn't irritated them in any way. The only problem is that, because the size jumps every other size, it makes my ears hurt for about a week.
My left lobe was reduced to 4g as a result of it. I've been using these to gradually restore my lobe, and they've worked well so far! I only gave it four stars because the Jojoba oil leaked during shipping, and a couple of the tunnels had jagged edges that I knew would hurt my ears if I used them, but luckily they come with two of each size, so I can still use the ones that aren't messed up.
I was concerned that the metal might not be pure because I have severe metal allergies to almost everything except pure stainless steel and gold, but they haven't caused any swelling or irritation. I received every piece that was supposed to be included, and every pair of tapers and plugs is perfectly matched! Overall, a fantastic kit with smooth edges and no catching. With the help of a friend, I was able to get to 16g, and once I got my kit, I was able to go to 14g with no problems. My only real complaints are that the small bottle of jojoba oil in my kit leaked when it arrived, but the packaging is very secure and kept it from getting on anything other than the bubble wrap envelope it was in and my fingers, and I do wish the o-rings were a little longer. The smaller sizes' rings were a little easier to put on from the back, but that's probably more of a me issue. Overall, it's a great little kit, especially for beginners just getting started with stretching, especially for the price! In the future, I'll most likely purchase more gauges and tunnels from this company.
They don't irritate my skin, which is unusual for me because I am sensitive to body jewelry. The taper has a little weight to it, which is great for stretching! I couldn't be happier with these for the price, and while I'm not new to stretching, I would highly recommend this set as a starter set! PS- If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative" and "paraphrase No O ring is ever of good quality, and I've heard a lot of complaints about them. I've stretched a lot of piercings and tried a lot of different products, but I've never found an O ring that doesn't suck:.
I'm not a piercer in any way, but I've always wanted to try stretching my ears! I was ecstatic to discover that the items were made of high-quality materials and were simple to operate. Others who want to try something new should try this. The oil that came with it, on the other hand, began to leak. It's not bad; it's just oil, so it's fine; however, because my skin is oily, I had to be extra careful not to clog my pores with excess oils because of the packaging.
