Questions & Answers

Is there a difference in size between these shoes and others?

In US sizing, this shoe fits true to size. This is a diabetic shoe that has been approved. This shoe is 100% leather and holds up extremely well. I'm a nurse who works four days a week. Every week, you'll work 12 hour shifts. I alternate between two pairs, which allow me to run around a busy ER all day. My ankles pronate inward, which this shoe corrects, preventing pain in my ankles, knees, and hips. For walking, I strongly suggest these shoes. I agree with the previous commenter that this shoe should come in a variety of colors. I'd even call it a nursing shoe, and if you add ten more colors, you'll have a hard time keeping them on the shelf!

Is the toe box particularly wide?

A wide toe box is present in this shoe. My toes are hammer-like - My toes are not rubbing against the shoe, and there is plenty of room for me to wiggle them.

What's the difference between an 8 and an 8 m shoe size?

When a number is given as an 8, it is usually interpreted as a medium number. I placed an order for a 7. Even with thick athletic socks, I have plenty of room in the toe box as a 5 M.

What's the difference between the 928v3 and 928v2 versions?

Except for the fit, they are identical. When people complained that the 928V2 was too narrow, New Balance went back and re-calibrated the fit, but didn't change anything else about them; the new ones are a little wider and almost a half size longer than the originals.

PLEASE MAKE NON-UGLY SHOES WITH ROLLBAR! My orthopedist told me to only wear these shoes after I broke my foot a few years ago
4/5

On my feet, they are definitely supportive and comfortable, but oh my god, they are sooo ugly. I couldn't bring myself to give that 5th star solely for that reason. br>br>These took the place of V1 in white (I avoided V2 like the plague due to its negative reception). The white ones pass as tennis shoes, but the black ones go with more of my clothes than the white ones. I appear to be wearing a pair of granny shoes (which I am). NB needs to make Rollbar-compatible shoes that aren't as ugly as they are. My daughter suggested some glitter bling, but I'm afraid it'll make me look like I've never recovered from my midlife crisis. I mean, I'm attempting to maintain some dignity in this situation.

I've found the best walking shoe I've ever come across
5/5

I've tried other brands and New Balance styles, but this is by far the best walking shoe I've come across. I like that I can customize them with my own inserts and that they fit true to size. I'm not going to claim to be an expert on gait, stability, or rolling, but I do walk every day, 2- I ran 3 miles on cement sidewalks in these shoes with my Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx inserts, and I didn't have any hip or back pain like I did in other shoes. When the pain returns, I know it's time for a new pair, and the pain disappears as soon as I put them on.

Brooks Addiction Walker vs
5/5

New Balance 928v3. Looking for a walking shoe that is orthotic friendly and can help with overpronation. I ordered the Brooks Addiction Walker in an 8 1/2 C/D and this shoe, the New Balance 928v3, in an 8 c/d after doing a lot of research online. For me, this shoe is an excellent fit. Brooks (as well as Asics) shoes run smaller in size and width than other brands. I was able to wear the Brooks 8 1/2 C/D despite its high arch support, which I did not want with a 3/4 orthotic. In addition, I thought the Brooks appeared to be more utilitarian. Plain and simple! The NB 928v3 was my final choice. (I still have a pair of old 927s and a pair of 928s on my feet. ) I find that these models are the most comfortable for me. ) I did have a problem with the shoe being too loose in the heel, but I learned how to lace the shoe using the very top eyelet on the internet. The shoe was able to be tightened around the ankle more effectively as a result of this.

The 928s aren't as good as the originals
4/5

Walking shoes from New Balance are always a good choice. These shoes aren't as comfortable as the original 928s because they lack arch support and aren't as cushy. It's unfortunate when businesses change product models and lower prices in order to increase profits. Customers are dissatisfied with the quality of their products as a result of this practice.

The standard of living continues to deteriorate
3/5

I've been a New Balance fan for nearly two decades. I've had to gradually purchase more and more expensive models over the years in order to maintain the same level of quality and durability, but I like them- Even though my feet are wide, these shoes fit well, are comfortable, and last longer than other brands I've tried. br>br>I recently bought a pair of gdefy shoes to try something new and a little less expensive. Those shoes never seem to fit properly and last half as long as New Balance shoes. I went back to New Balance this time. br>br> While I still like the fit, the quality isn't up to par. There is no longer any cushioning or arch support. br>br>I'd buy a more expensive version of these shoes again, but I think I've reached my limit. I'll keep these, but I guess I'll have to look for something else next time. br>br>Hey New Balance, I'd rather pay more for a higher-quality shoe than pay the same price for a lower-quality shoe!.

This is the second time I've purchased this shoe
3/5

For the past few years, I've purchased this specific shoe at least twice a year. Plantar fasciitis was bothering me, and I needed something to help. For a long time, these shoes served me well, but I noticed changes in the pair I purchased before this one, which are even more pronounced in this one. The length of the tongue has decreased. Keeping the laces tied over the tongue is extremely difficult. The laces snag on the bottom of the shoe. I'm not sure if the shoes are made by a different company or if the original company is cutting corners to save money, but they no longer fit me. At around $130, it's a good deal. I wasn't expecting such a problem at $00 per pair. I'm not going to buy any more of these. Next time, I'll go to my neighborhood shoe store to get what I need.

Shoes with a lot of support for those who have issues with their feet
5/5

Because I have to wear custom orthotics to correct a foot problem, I purchased these shoes. The extra space required for the orthotics is accommodated by the design of these shoes. I was surprised by how comfortable and roomy the shoes are, especially considering my orthotics are over 1/2 inch thick. br>br>The only thing I don't like about them is how stiff and heavy they are; yes, some of that is due to my inserts, but these shoes are designed to provide support and stability, which means less flexibility in the sole. I'm used to wearing very light tennis shoes, so these are a significant change for me. However, once I became accustomed to the extra weight, I found them to be extremely comfortable to wear all day. br>br>One of my favorite brands is New Balance, primarily because some of their shoes are made for people with wide feet. This, combined with the additional room for orthotics, has made these my new go-to shoes. to shoes.

This shoe is even better than the 928v2! We purchased these walking shoes for my mother, who is required to wear an ankle and leg brace
5/5

br>br>For several years, the previous version 928v2 was the only shoe she could wear that kept her brace in place and supported her well while walking. br>br>She was hesitant to try these at first, but we were forced to because the previous version was no longer available in her size. br>br>She absolutely loves them! She has specifically stated that they support her brace better around the ankle than the previous style. She also claims that there is a "bar" in the shoe that runs from heel to toe and helps her feel more stable while walking. After being so upset at first about the update and the cost difference (over double), we are so glad they updated the design after hearing how much of a difference it makes for her comfort and stability!br>br>After being so distraught at first over the update and the cost difference (over double), we are so glad they updated the design after hearing how much of a difference it makes for her comfort and stability!.
