In addition to getting a new pair of clipless sandals, I've installed cleats from Marque SPD. The clips were hard to clip in and even more difficult to remove. The Shimano clipless pedals on all my bikes are set to the same settings, as they are on all my bikes. With any of my bikes, no matter what type of shoes or sandals I wear, I get the same results. In the sandals I attached the Marque cleats to, the pedals sound like they just got cranked up several notches.
