It might not seem such a big difference at first, but once you get used to these, you realize there is a big difference. The bottom of the foot is very thin and does not have much support or structure. In extreme cases, my foot often collapses over the pedals when I am climbing or running out of the saddle. Furthermore, the upper part of the shoe has too much give, so I feel like I can't effectively pull up on the pedals due to the soft, flexible material. After wearing these twice, I wish I could return them but I cannot due to the company policy that no returns are accepted after wearing. Mistakes like this can be expensive.

My size is 8 and I usually wear it. Asics and Brooks are among the top 5 running shoe brands. Initially, I had purchased a pair of LG road shoes in size 41, but they were way too small and too narrow for me. In my opinion, based on the reviews I read, I made I fit a size 5 in the TIEMs. They are slightly narrow but not uncomfortable. In their classes, they feel safe. Observations on Performance People had mentioned in a couple of reviews that they didn't find the TIEMs to be stiff enough under the foot when clipped in, but I didn't agree with them. As cycling shoes, they are very similar to them and have a rigid hard plastic element under the center of the foot, which allows them to ride out of the saddle without much difficulty. They have much more cushioning than other cycling shoes, which I liked a lot. The entire class I was completely comfortable, more comfortable than I normally am in I did feel the cleats on the ground when walking on asphalt and cement, but walking around my home on hardwood floors didn't cause any problems. The cleats were easy to install. It keeps happening to me that people say they took them to a bike shop to do it, but after all it's as easy as screwing them into your shoes. My overall feeling is that I'm happy with this purchase, since I will be able to cover the cost of shoe rental in about two months, so they are a great deal, especially given the comfort, not having to change shoes at the studio, and the fact that they are adorable.

These allow me to spin without putting pressure on my toes or having a hard top on my toes during my recovery from a broken toe. We visited a local bike shop to have SPD cleats installed.

In other words, this was the correct size. Not down a 1/2 size as suggested by the company. I think you made the right decision there.

There is enough padding, but not as much as I had hoped for. In order to better support arches and also to better support knees, we will be seeking some product improvements. As far as the sole is concerned, the sole was more flexible than what I'm used to from the traditional, very stiff cycling shoes. Those who have it difficult balancing out of the saddle will find that it takes some getting used to. Just as with anything, the muscles and body adapt and learn to stabilize them. The cushioning is better, and the stability is better. We should be able to exchange inserts, so that you are not required to replace the whole shoe as frequently as.

The cushioning is great and the It would be good to see improvements to cycling support. I recommend these shoes for someone who has good pedal control, but not for those who are just learning to pedal.
