This half ballet shoe is like a custom made shoe since I ordered 9 instead of 8. An elastic-type material It is of such high quality that you barely notice it is there. Being a Modern dancer with wide feet and toes, I can attest to the agony of the years My favorite ballet shoe has always been the ballerina's flats. While this shoe is designed as if it were made in Italy, it is made in China- This is a place where comfort rules! A much better pair of shoes than any of the company's similar shoes. The tan looks good on any skin tone, and the sole is soft and slippery. What an amazing piece of work! We just ordered a second pair of back up glasses for the show 4 days later.
