Can you tell me how wide the wood will open?

By at least 1 letter width, it becomes wider. The handle can dig into the footbed of your shoe when you use either attachment on either side. You need to be careful not to twist it too far as it can dig in.

There are some shoes that I have that Sizes range from 5 to 8 depending on the product. What would you recommend if I were to only try one size of a shoe stretcher? I appreciate your kind words! ?

If I were to buy a women's size 7, I would choose As far as step 5 is concerned, you just have to ensure that the stretcher can be inserted into your existing shoes since the goal is to widen them. Will these be only for flats, or can they also be used for heels?

Hey Lizzett, I have not tried the footfitter with a flat shoe, but I do not see any reason why it shouldn't My first reaction when I saw your question was that I tried looking for a pair of flats to stretch in. I would say that a footfitter is an excellent investment unless your entire shoe collection is flats. In search of a good stretcher, I've done a lot of research Unfortunately, most of them do not work well.

Turning the crank to expand the stretcher was quite challenging, and when the time came I had to take it out of my shoe, the wood stuck to it, and I basically had to rip it out (yes I did turn the crank to collapse it, but it wasn't any better). The shoe doesn't seem to have stuck to my foot well even after I expanded the product quite a bit. In the end, the shoe was destroyed but the job was accomplished. As it turned out, my mom has a much older shoe stretcher (probably 30+ years old), and that worked so much better on the other heel AND left the inside of my shoe intact. The moral is don't use this product- find a better one.

An item that is faulty has been sold knowingly by the seller

This is a 0 star product if there was any way for me to give it 0 stars! The stretch portion does not go wide enough to stretch properly and if you go all the way down, a triangle piece of metal pops out. I used it to stretch out a pair of high heel boots about 30 days before I needed to wear them, but it did not work. initially emailed the seller and he said I could pop it back in with my hand, but it completely smashed my fingers so I used pliers to put it back in place, but it keeps popping out almost instantly and then you really have to work hard to get it out. The whole thing feels like a total waste of time, money and It also doesn't seem like the seller is satisfied with the way they handled my problem, as if they had heard this story before and knew exactly how to handle it, so they are aware they are selling a faulty product. The quality of the work is poor.

For shoes with narrower toe boxes or for those with bunions, this is a very useful tool

While this isn't very useful for wide feet as it only stretches the toe box, I have found it to be extremely useful for me and have used it consistently for years. Due to my bunions, I need to buy wide shoes or a larger size so as to avoid the back of my foot slipping out. Therefore, being able to stretch the front of the shoe is an important feature. These heel stretchers can be used for flats, boots, and heels, and they work for all three. I am very pleased with the spot stretching tools. They ensured that my leather shoes were Additionally, if you have flats that cut into your bunion, this stretcher may help you with that problem as well. It was noted by one reviewer that the stretcher became stuck inside the leather lining of the shoe, and when it was ripped out, the leather lining came off with it. As early as two weeks ago, I experienced this problem when spraying stretching spray on the inside of the shoe, so I suggest using a single-step spray A thin sock can be used over the stretcher if you wish to.

It works well and is well worth the cost. You can see the edited version of this review. This is so great. You can buy this one for much cheaper at Walmart or Target than the usual one. The quality is better. The gears are metal rather than It is constructed with a solid material. Side pieces in addition to the main piece. This is a good product. The shoe stretcher was designed to provide help to people as quickly and smoothly as possible. I got it to work! It was a new pair of shoes, and they were very Thanks to this stretcher, my heels are now tolerable and will not give me blisters anymore. Following alternating with the first one as I tried it on various shoes, I went ahead and ordered another one. The product I am using is only about a week old and so far, it seems to be holding up.

I'm very happy with it. It was the band that is on top of the shoe that caused my shoe issue. I did get two so I could stretch both of them at the same time. It is harder to stretch yourself naturally by wearing socks, and it is more painful since the process is longer and harder on your feet. The stretch spray I used to go with the stretchers was far superior. Now that I got new shoes, I'm so comfortable and able to wear them. You really get what you pay for with these.
