The longer one is either plastic or composite; everyone seems to think they're both plastic, but my shorter one is metal. They are durable and well worth the money.

After only two uses, the large shoe horn broke. I was hoping that someone from the merchant would contact me after reading my review and offer me a replacement or a refund.
I had no idea it was plastic until it was pointed out to me. That's probably my fault, but the bottoms of them are a little thicker than the tops because they're made of plastic and won't break. I'd go with a metal one if you can afford it.
Some shoes, particularly boots, require more effort to put on than others. And I don't want to risk damaging my nails in the process of putting on my more snug boots. This is where the shoe horns come in. They do the job, and they do it well. They really do make it easier for me to slip into tight boots and booties without the struggle I used to have, and the shoe horns appear to be of high quality. They appear to be well-made and durable, with the potential to last for years. That is something I sincerely hope for. The extra-long one comes in handy for boots in particular. When I'm in a hurry and getting ready to go out, these have saved me a lot of frustration and time, not to mention saved my nails!.
The finish on the shoe horns is smooth and does not appear to peel, making them a useful quality of life item. The shoe horns' lip is rounded, so it won't scratch or scrape your shoes. When I'm getting ready in the morning, I use it to speed up and simplify the process of putting on shoes. br>br>I have no physical or mental limitations. This shoe horn was purchased for the following reasons. It does, however, make getting ready in the mornings a lot easier.
If you're looking for a way to get your foot into a boot, this isn't the product for you. My husband probably only used it four times before it broke. I should've known better and purchased a metal one instead. Get one that is made of metal. Plastic isn't one of them. Plastic is very low-cost and thin.
After four uses, the long horn broke! After only a few uses, the tip of the longer horn snapped into two pieces, indicating that this material lacks flexibility. This makes me angry.
It's just a shoe horn, but it gets the job done. It's made of thick plastic that's both attractive and durable. I would recommend it because I have a bad back and it allows me to put on my shoes without having to bend over too far.
It took me 29 years to realize the utility of this tool. Perhaps not 29 years, but from the time of its invention to the present. This makes it much easier to not untie my shoes without causing damage to the heel area of my shoes. The only complaint I have is that the shoe horn with the extra long handles could be a little longer; I've gotten to the point where I can almost stand while using the tool. I'm a little worried that I'll snap it when I wear my shoes, but so far that hasn't happened. But it's fine. The smaller one goes into my gym bag, while the larger one stays at home.
