This shoehorn is something I bought to keep in my car. My spine has rods, and I have Parkinson's disease with neuropathy in both feet, so I can't feel or touch my feet. As a result, I require assistance in putting on my shoes, and it is surprising how often you must remove your shoes while out and about. At home, I use a 32" long solid one-piece shoe horn, which has obvious advantages but can't be carried in your pocket. br>This shoehorn folds down to a manageable 14 inches and fits easily into a jacket pocket or the back pocket of your pants. It is simple to lock or unlock the length with a twist of the wrist, and it is both durable and affordable. This shoehorn performs admirably, and I would enthusiastically recommend it to others.
This was by far the best investment I've ever made. This was purchased for my mother, who has trouble bending to put her shoes on as a result of a bad car accident. It's something she really enjoys. She puts it on every morning before going to work, and it only takes her 5 seconds to put her shoes on now. She was so ecstatic about it that she literally brags about how easy it is for her to put her shoes on now. I don't think it'll ever break on her because it's made of extremely strong and thick metal. It also adjusts to various lengths, which is fantastic! It's small enough to fit into a suitcase. In a heartbeat, I would recommend this to anyone who requires it. The only regret I have is that I did not purchase this for her sooner! I adore you so much!.
I like the durability, ease of use, and feel/comfort of the handlebr>I dislikebr> 1- Because the handle does not collapse all the way inside the horn like another brand I purchased, it is impractical to carry around in a pocket or handheld bag all the time.
2- Manufacturers/sellers dedication, selling the same exact product, coming from the same manufacturer/br> machine, then selling them on Amazon under different names, different prices, and no clear distinction as to what the difference is (since there is none), which causes a lot of confusion, when the sellers pretend to create an imaginary competition product, when there is none, and they are only competing with themselves, which causes a lot of confusion. It’s not the first time that’s I get confused as to which one to buy and why, and end up getting both to compare myself, only to find it is the s This is something I'm seeing more and more from Chinese products, and Amazon, unfortunately, has no control over their deceptive business practices. not good.
I saw this shoe horn and decided to buy it because I thought it might help me with my problem. I can't recommend this shoe horn highly enough. I can easily slip on my shoes in seconds if they are fully expanded and locked in. This product is a FIVE STAR product that I highly recommend to anyone who has mobility issues with their spine, hips, or legs.
The lanyard is not one of them. The shoehorn is convenient to use and can be adjusted quickly. My plan was to hang it near the mudroom door on a hook so that it would be accessible when I left the house. The lanyard broke the third time I used it, and the lanyard's quality and attachment design are so bad that it's not worth attempting to repair. The handle does, however, have a threaded brass insert in the center - 1/4"- 20 (which is the same as a lot of camera mounts). So, I attached a new lanyard using the threaded insert. Yes - however, excellence - Not in the least.
It's not only much more powerful than anticipated, but it's also a fantastic deal. You'll be glad you did when you get your hands on one.
My husband has a hard time bending over to get his heel into his shoes because of a previous hip replacement and his overall body habitus (long back and fused lower spine). When he asked for a second one for the RV, I inadvertently ended up with a different brand than the first one, which turned out to be this brand. He liked it better right away because it is less flimsy and folds up a little smaller, so when the first one broke, I bought the same brand again. He's also pleased that it folds up small enough to fit into our luggage when we travel but expands easily for use. I would strongly suggest it.
It appears to be quite durable and will last for a long time if the locking mechanism remains functional - At least with walking sticks, this is the weak point. I expect the shoe horn to last much longer than a walking stick because it won't presumably be subjected to significant force. Overall, this is the most versatile shoehorn I've used, and it folds up small enough to fit in a suitcase. It extends far enough for most people to stand comfortably while using it. This is an excellent product!.
