Questions & Answers

Do you think the red rubber grip will leave a mark on my suede boots? Please accept my sincere thanks. ?

They have no right to do so. It leaves no marks on tan cowhide when I use it. It's an excellent boot jack, in my opinion. br>Please accept my apologies; upon closer inspection, there IS SOME MINOR RED MARKING ON THE LEATHER FROM THE BOOT JACK. On the brown leather, it doesn't show up very well, but it does leave a mark.

Is there anything to protect wood floors on the bottom?

I don't believe it would damage a wooden floor, but you could easily glue felt on top of it, as suggested.

Has anyone tried it with a pair of winter or snow boots with a higher heel?

Hello, this is what I use for my Lacrosse hunting boots, and it works great. The only issue I have is that the red on the boot rubs off where you insert your heal. I wrapped the tips in plastic wrap, but it's a pain and I shouldn't have to. Without the red, I would suggest something else.

Is it manufactured in the United States or imported from another country? Both are mentioned in the description. ?

Dear KENNA, Here's what I think: So many of our suppliers and manufacturing industries are dependent on China's labor force (which is cheaper than that of the United States). As a result, many industries ship their raw materials to China to be assembled into finished goods. After that, it is returned to the companies in the United States for distribution. China is not the only country that does business with American firms. India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are three of the most populous countries on the planet. Korea, Mexico, and Canada are three of the most populous countries in the world. to name a few examples We consumers never know the full history of products unless the disclosure states that they were made and manufactured in the United States. After this global Coronavirus infection, the globalization of industry will come to an end. At the very least, the Made in China label will not be as prominent as it currently is. That is my viewpoint, as well as the viewpoints of many others with whom I have spoken. I hope this has provided you with the information you were looking for. Ron, with best wishes

I've been utilizing this boot jack on a regular basis
3/5

For the past few months, I've been using this boot jack a few times a week; it gets the job done, but it comes with some drawbacks. br>br>On my lighter brown boots, the red rubber grip section tends to leave red marks, which aren't overly noticeable but can be seen if you look closely. I don't think I'll have to deal with the red marks for much longer now that the red rubber section has begun to separate from the black plastic base. My search for a new boot jack is about to begin.

Our boots, walls, and carpet have all been ruined by this product! This product's red inside rim has ruined our house! We've spent days trying to figure out what caused the red stains on our walls and carpet
3/5

We eventually noticed red stains on our shoes, boots, and socks as well. When you use the product, the red inside rim transfers to your boots and shoes, so the next time you touch your footwear-- to put them on or to throw them away- We have prints on our walls and stains on our wall to wall carpet from the red that transfers to your hands, floors, gloves, pant legs, and so on! We've tried everything we can think of to get the stains out of the carpet. We also had a professional cleaner give it a shot, but it didn't work out. We are in such a bad mood. Repairs and services for this $7 item will cost us thousands of dollars.

What's the difference between a Bruised Rib and Three Among Friends? What I like about this boot jack (it's a boot jack, not a "puller") is that it: It's appealing to me because it appears to be effective
3/5

What about this boot jack irritates me the most: br>br> 1. br>br> The grooved top section of one boot feels like a metal cheese grater against the bottom of the foot that has had the first boot removed once it is removed. Getting the second boot is going to be painful, unless you're wearing really thick socks or have really thick callouses on the arch of your foot. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br It's safe to assume that whoever designed it or gave it a high rating is using it on carpet or something similar. Because I KNOW it's not going to be on a slick hardwood or laminate floor. br>br>I know this because the bottom contact surfaces are all made of hard plastic. Plastic that is slick and hard. br>br>It's not as if rubber contact points couldn't be installed-- The "U" that fits around the boot heel is made of rubber, and it stays put even if you try to dislodge it by pulling the boots sideways. br>br>So, if those people had used this thing on a hard, slick surface, it would only have been a matter of time before the boot jack slid across the floor like a skateboard, one foot stuck in the "U" with the boot still on it, and the other foot riding the metal cheese grater portion, as the owner of the feet goes down hard, banging his or her bony body parts (like ribs) against whatever furniture or other hard.

The boot's durability and construction appeal to me
3/5

jack. This product should not be used on a hardwood floor. The boot's durability and construction appeal to me. jack. The boot Jack, on the other hand, has no rubber feet on the bottom to prevent it from slipping on a hardwood floor. Unless you're using it on carpet, it's nearly impossible to use. One crucial detail was left out by the manufacturers. To put it another way, non- Jack's boot has skid surfaces on the bottom.

Your boots will be stained with RED STAINS
3/5

This item was purchased in the hopes of assisting me in removing my boots. Instead, I got a product that left the red ink from the grip stains on my boots. Unfortunately, it took me about a week to notice the staining. Some of the ink was able to be removed, but not all of it. The ink on the bag it came in has already started to rub off. I threw this thing in the trash right away. br>br>NEGATIVESbr>- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - My boots were stainedbr>- After a few uses, the red rubber began to peel away. br>- a lot of rough edgesbr>- The opening was just big enough for the back of my boot heel. br>br>POSITIVESbr>- I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone because it was very inexpensive. br>br>I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone because it was very inexpensive. br>br>I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone because it was very inexpensive.

If you have "cowboy" or "cowgirl" boots, this is a must-have accessory
5/5

My wife and I both have western boots with tall, unzippered shafts and leather pulls that we both wear. Following the intermission, Our boots were simple to put on but difficult to take off during that time period. She recommended that we get one of these (she has a lot of boot experience), and we chose this one. When compared to wood, I was looking for something indestructible. The ease with which I was able to remove my boots astounded me. I should have bought one of these years ago because it is simple in concept and design, as well as sturdy and effective. I'm referring to the tool rather than the brand, though both are excellent. These are a must-have for anyone who wears western boots. If not this one, try one from a rival. It doesn't make a difference. In this case, it's the tool that's at fault, not the product. That said, I'll say it again: this one is a no-brainer.

For boot removal, this is a huge help
5/5

Because I bought this for my SO, I'm writing on his behalf. Because the unit I purchased had a grey grip on the inside, the "red" comments don't apply, and I'm not sure what the "Stretch" category above means, so I left it blank. I couldn't give it a 5 because the durability has yet to be determined, hopefully in the coming years. It worked great for his Wellington/Rubber Boots, but SO had one remark. After removing one boot, you'll have a wet and/or muddy boot puller, so you'll need something to wipe it down or maybe a piece of cardboard to place on it before removing the second boot (assuming you don't want a wet/muddy sock or slipper?). Great product, and I'm happy with my purchase.

We've found the best Jack yet! For tall leather riding boots, we used an old-fashioned wooden boot jack
5/5

But, because those boots now have zippers, we moved on to find a jack that worked well with rubber boots for mud and gardening. I spent quite a bit of money on one with a wider base and a larger opening for the boot, but it would snap off the boot and throw my incredible gardener off balance. This one is balanced, designed for muddy work boots, and stiffer than a standard boot jack. It works perfectly, no more thuds and cursing from the mud room! A fantastic Amazon find!.
