Selected User Reviews For Extra Long Metal Handled Shoe Horn (Heavy Duty) 31-inch Steel Shoehorn for Boots and Shoes by Comfy Clothiers
After having a hip replacement, I decided to order it. br>The thickness is just right. It's stiff, easy to work with, and not too thick to fit behind your heel in your shoe. Anything thicker would be excessive. br>When I placed my order, I specifically requested the 23-inch thickest option. They must have had a surplus of the 31-inch version. Because it was on sale for less than the shorter one, I chose it. 31 was my first thought. I knew it was probably too long, but I went ahead and bought it anyway, figuring I could return it if I didn't like it. br>As it turned out, the 31-year-old was not as bad as he appeared. Not only can I use it while standing up to slip into a tight pair of slip-on shoes without bending, but the extra length also provides incredible leverage, so you don't have to struggle with it at all. It also works for putting your shoes on while seated. I am confident that the 23-year-old will be successful. While an inch would suffice, the extra length on the long version is a benefit. br>The top of the unit has a backward bending hook shape that makes it easy to hold and hang on the inside of a 3/4-inch thick door. a wardrobe door that is an inch thick.
I'm 6 feet tall and have back pain that makes it difficult for me to bend down to put on shoes and boots. I purchased the 31-inch model, which only requires a slight reach to operate. It's very sturdy, has a smooth finish, and the top finger hook won't bend even when wearing the tightest shoes or boots. I've gone through several of those flimsy shoehorns with springs at the end of the shaft and cheap "leather" wrapped handles, and they've all broken at the spring, handle, or both, but this one appears to be the last one I'll need to buy. I know it's just a shoehorn, but when you have back problems, even simple tools can make a big difference, and this one is well worth the money. I've learned that it's better to pay a little more for quality the first time than to buy cheap and have to replace it several times, wasting money in the process. I'm glad I found this shoehorn, but I wish I had discovered it sooner. If you require a high-quality shoehorn, you will not be disappointed.
I regret to inform you that I will be reviewing a product aimed primarily at senior citizens. And I am one of them. I shouldn't have waited so long; it's not that I can't bend over any longer; it's just that it hurts most of the time. It merely performs the function of a shoe horn. It will, however, fit neatly by the door and last indefinitely, if not longer. br>Recent changes: I went out and purchased a second one for the other door. I really like this device because it's so simple and elegant.
They have rubbery linings that catch on socks and make it difficult to wiggle them on, as well as no pull tabs and a high front swoop, forcing me to point my toes like a ballerina and then hop around trying to cram my long foot into a small space. I was about to toss it all out when I came up with the idea of renting a shoe. horn (a term I hadn't used or considered in decades). Voila' - All of the pairs that I thought were useless turned out to be useful. It made me feel like Cinderella. The length of the shoe horn, as well as the fact that it is made of metal, make it easy to put on and take off, which makes me happy. It's a good-looking, well-built tool that's well worth the money.
I bought a stainless shoe horn that was 24 inches long many years ago. It bowed in a matter of weeks. Metal was a delicate material. br>This shoe horn is well-made and has a substantial weight to it. I've used it several times and it has never flexed or bent. This shoe horn has exceeded my expectations. br>As I get older, not having to bend over to put on my shoes is a huge plus. This shoe horn, in my opinion, is of exceptional quality. Even with heavy use, I don't think this shoe horn will bend. >.
It's approximately 24 inches long and made of 14 gauge stainless steel, which is quite substantial. I recently had hip surgery and it's difficult to bend over, to say the least, and it's not recommended. It isn't pliable in any way. In fact, I'm about to place an order for the second. One is located near the front door, and the other is located in the bedroom. I also purchased a pair of boot jacks. When it comes to taking off and putting on shoes and boots, both tools are like having an extra hand.
This metal shoehorn is extremely sturdy, strong, and long enough to be useful for everyone from the smallest of us to the tallest of us. It is essential in every home, especially for those of us who are getting older or have had surgeries that prevent us from bending over to put on our shoes. If I ever needed another one, I'd order it again. But, because it's so sturdy, I doubt I'll ever need to order another unless it's as a gift.
The shoe horn is 31 inches long, which I really like. br>Quick delivery of a well-made product. br>It reaches my hips, and I'm 6 feet tall. I should have gone for one that was a little shorter, but I have arthritis in my knees and can't bend my leg far enough to put shoes on without using a shoehorn. I'm sick of flimsy ones that bend and break. This one appears to be durable, and if you have high boots, it's ideal, especially if you're a woman wearing thigh-high boots. If this one fails in two or three years, I'll buy another. br>I also have a sciatic nerve that is fused to my spine. This has been extremely beneficial.
