It can be difficult to find the right wire brush for suede. It doesn't work because it's too soft. It leaves a trail rather than smoothing it out if you push it too hard. This one is just right, and the bristles and wires combination is brilliant. In terms of suede brushes, it's also well-made.
I've seen a lot of wire brushes for this purpose, and they're all too stiff in my opinion. This brush is stiff enough to get the job done while also being gentle on the shoe.
We didn't have a special suede brush; instead, we used regular horsehair shoe brushes. After doing some research online, we decided on a brush that had both nylon and brass bristles. AMAZON had the best deal on this brush.
There was nothing about it that I didn't like. My shoe boots have a much better appearance now that they have been properly brushed.
I'm a sucker for suede shoes and chukka boots. To keep their appearance, they should be waterproofed and brushed. This is the most effective brush I've found for the job.
